Oakland Chase Apartments

"We've lived here for 6 years. Honestly it has been a positive experience for the most part. I encountered upper management from regional and she was a little rude. Even though she was trying to get apartments ready for inspection customer service is still a must. They have done an excellent job with handling any repairs that we've needed along with giving us a wheelchair space for parking. We've not encountered crime. I left my keys in our front door a few times. The pool & grill area is well maintained. We have not had ANY rodent or bug issues. I have noticed a difference in the new tenants that have come into the building over the past year, leaving trash by parking spaces, in the breezeway. Also we need more dumpsters for the trash that accumulates over the weekend/holidays. Our maintenance is around every weekday morning cleaning it up so 2 thumbs up for them. Overall we've had a good experience. For the price and quiet area I feel that this is a good place to live. You can pay less but you may not get the quality."

"This is a picture of the dumpster when its broken....... with all these apartments only two dumpsters out here. It's now $85.00 per bag of trash found outside the dumpster. Follow up..........they fix it with having two extra dumpsters but it still fills up quick. Trash was back in front of it. My solution or opinion maybe if they put a dumpster at each end of each apartment entrance. Then again with the parking so terrible out here and the money they pay to live out there the tenants would have somewhere to park and not a far walk just to get to your apartment. With a family that has two cars they only give you one parking sticker and your other vehicle has to drive around trying to find a parking space. Your visitors even have to park and walk to get to you. The parking lot too small for the people who lives there!. No where for them to park not many unreserved spots. Then they want to tow cars all day when people dont have places to park around 6:30pm. They're nice apartments but I would not recommend them. Rent due ....first of the month no matter what after that it's a 10% late charge of what you pay a month. Water bill due every first of the month if late a $5.00 charge added. Every year you renew your lease the price goes up."

"Do not move into these apartments. The management here is not on the same page. Some residents they will work with when there is a problem and others they won't. Please read the fine print in your rental agreement. I give this apartment complex zero stars, but I could only post this review if I gave it a one. "If you move here, you will see what I mean." I read the bad reviews and moved in anyway. Run while you still have a chance."

"This was the worst experience my mother had to encounter with a rental company. Melissa called and called asking for a deposit. The deposit was made because as she stated first come first serve. She stated she was approved and deposit was needed asap. She only had 1 three bedroom available. Leasing Agent Melissa she must be made aware from her manager or higher you DO NOT give a potential tenant their address inform them of a time to come sign lease and to have utilities turn on, then the following day deny application because of another tenant listed on application. My mother tried to do the correct thing and list all over age 18. Had she known it would deny her application she could have done what some others do and not list that person. She could have offered my mother a 2bedroom just for herself but she didn't. She hadn't even processed deposit at the time of her denial she had it at the rental office and lied and stated she didn't. This information was verified when corporate was called asking about refund of deposit. She was very rude. I suggest this company do some customer service training."

"There no grace period for the rent so you'll have to pay on the first anything after the first is a late fee. Quiet area, good maintenance and they do rental inspection every three months so make sure your house is order if your blinds are slightly broken or broken they will charge you 45 dollars for replacement. The trash compactor is always broken and when it is they want you to hold your garbage in your home until they fix the issue it usually take a day. If you do dump your garbage while it's broken they will charge you 50 dollars. The water bill is shared throughout the complex and it can range up to 70 dollars. Be sure to read your leasing agreement about the moving out process. They still gonna charge for something before moving out. I gave it three stars because it was quiet and clean and the maintenance was good but other than that it's what you make it."
