North Slope Apartments

"It’s a basic apartment and reasonably safe. If you just need someplace to live it is fine. There are quite a few cons. If you move into an upstairs unit and have a full size sofa, there is a chance that you won’t be able to get it into the apartment. This is due to the horrible design of the apartment where the closet is directly facing when you go inside. You have to try to go in ate an angle but you have the stair guards behind making it impossible. I ended up having to throw it away. I barely was able to get my loveseat in. The stove is small and the oven doesn’t have the height to fit a turkey. The refrigerator size is in between a regular refrigerator and a mini refrigerator. The trash bins on the property are more like a community dump. People that don’t live there bring their trash and leave it. People come by a leave couches and all kinds of junk on the ground. In the summer most times it stinks because the doors to the bin are left open because everyone in the area uses it. There is also community parking where people that live in the adjacent apt community park in North Slope’s parking spaces and walk through a thin layer of trees to where they live. At times you may not be able to park close to your apartment because people the don’t live there are taking up the spots. This has been complained about with no serious plans to resolve it. There is a tow truck company sign on the property from a company that has never came by to tow anything. I have personally called the tow truck company and stated that there are vehicles that need to be towed. They lied and said they normally come through after nine and the office lies that they are working on a fix. A simple fix would be to have reserved spaces so violators know someone is expecting to park there. They could put up a fence. The office was made aware that the tow company doesn’t come by and it seems like an “oh well” type of thing."

"My time here was great until my lease was not renewed because of financial hardships during covid and this past years job loss. I continued to pay my rent within the current month even though it was late. You would think after 2 years of residency that would mean something but i guess not. They will find a reason to not renew your lease to bring in new tenants at rate increase of 300 plus. Other than that it's a pretty quiet community not a bad place to live outside of them not having a washer and dryer."

"Since moving into North Slope over a year ago, I have only had a positive experience living here. The apartments are reasonably priced, great location only a few minutes to downtown, and tons of parking! The staff has been terrific in handling any issues I've had. By far the best company I've dealt with since living in Richmond! I highly suggest living here."

"I wish I could give zero stars. I have experienced issue after issue since moving in. You must be persistent if you expect anything to be done. I have had an infestation of bugs since moving in back in May. My door has been patched up several times, separates from the wall and has gaps of light all the way around, plus now won't even lock! Don't expect to have a parking spot that you are entitled to either. Management picks and chooses which rules they enforce and for whom. Extremely unprofessional! The reply to my review is just to look good to potential renters, they know exactly who I am and could reach out to resolve issues if they cared to do so."
