The Lofts at West Station

"I have been living here for a little over a year now. Even before I lived here I have always had a good relationship with the property management here as I run a small elevator museum and before they gutted the old building allowed me to salvage an elevator button panel that otherwise would have been thrown away. Anyway, now with my experience living here, it has been amazing. The building is very quiet and clean. The apartments are very energy efficient. My electric bill is never over 70$ a month. The maintenance staff here is amazing as every issue I have had has been promptly resolved. Not to mention they are very friendly! Also the pricing here is more than fair. The units are very well laid out and I feel the price I am paying per month is very competitive. I plan on calling this great apartment complex home for a long time! They have a nice Schindler elevator as well!"

"Being one of the “original” tenants at west station, I can tell you the 5 1/2 years I spent there were excellent. Management was fantastic, Glenn worked hard to make living WS a fun communal experience. I was the first to live in my apartment so everything was nice and new so no problems there. The location is superb. Living in other parts of downtown next to bars/clubs sounds exciting “at first” the noise will wear on you with in a month. WS however is far enough away to enjoy a quiet evening at home virtually every night, yet easy walking distance to Roanoke’s more lively night life areas. It really is the ideal location for the young working professional who isn’t trying to re-live his/her college fraternity years. By far my favorite downtown living space."

"Glenn, the owner, is incredibly responsive, accommodating, and understanding. The apartments are high quality and fairly priced. Unlike most apartments, you can’t hear your next door neighbors’ every move. Great location with Big Lick Brewery, Tuco’s, and many other establishments practically in your backyard. They are very welcoming of pets as well!"

"Overall nice place to live. Apartment was decent size and renovated really nicely. My main issue with the complex involved the move out process. I left my apartment in really good condition. I was charged over $400 for painting and cleaning fees that were taken out of my deposit. That is unacceptable. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for that fact alone. Follow-up to reply: I was aware there would be fees, but I assumed they would be reasonable amounts. The final charges were excessive and should be disclosed to tenants."

"Hands down the best place I’ve ever lived at in Roanoke. The lofts team makes you feel like it’s truly a community not just an apartment your paying to live in. They have game and movie nights to bring you and your neighbors together and get to know each other. Maintenance was always on top of anything we had questions about and management was always trying to make things better. My move out process went smoothly due to the fact they go in detail step by step what you need to do to get your deposit back. You check mark each item, you get your deposit back simple as that. I would highly recommend them to anyone! I assure you that you won’t be disappointed!"
