"Awful!! Rooms are old and moldy. Not what you expect from a Hyatt. Also beware, they double charged us. I used my card to have them hold our reservation. When we got here my husband paid with his card. At the exact same time they charged my card and his also which tied up 554$ of my money. I had a meltdown and the manager kept telling me there was nothing she could do till the next day. The next morning she advised it had been taken care of but my account showed different. And it has still not been put back into my account. I have had to enter a dispute with my credit union to get it fixed. Never again!!"

"This was my second stay here. The first time was great! This time not so great, I had to change rooms three times do to bugs and stains on the sofa. The second room I didn't have time to look around because once I opened the door and seen double beds when I booked a King Suite I headed back downstairs for a second time. The third room was okay but I was over it. I couldn't even take a shower like I wanted because the water in the tub wouldn't drain might I add that when I booked, I booked a King "without a tub" but with a shower. And by the way, they now charge $5 for parking with no security to keep check on your vehicle's so keep that in mind this was not a great experience for me what so ever, and I'm waiting on management to contact me back. When you stay at a hotel and you pay your money and don't get what you booked nor paid for it's a issue."

"We reached 10pm at night and as soon we entered the lady at front desk looked at us and did not bother greeting us. Same thing, next morning, their staff especially russel and elezabith front desk person were laughing and making fun us being Asian or me walking my dog. I am not sure why, but overall the hotel is good and manager is very good"

"Chose this hotel due to proximity to shopping and restaurants while stopping for a night during road trip off of 95. Absolute abomination. Filthy from top to bottom. Entrance reeks of cigarette smoke and once inside the entire common area stinks like black licorice/anise I’m guessing air freshener to cover up the mildew and smoke smell. Front desk associates could use a few lessons in customer service. Room was so dirty it was uninhabitable but had no choice but to stay as I had travelled all day into the night with our two year old son. Stains all over the carpet. Food crumbs along the perimeter of the bed. Stains covering couch. Side tables had not been wiped in months- they were sticky and had rings from drinks. Bathroom covered in mold, something smeared all over the door. Bathroom so tiny you could not open and close the door freely. Just truly a flea bag type outdated place. Not sure who is giving these good reviews. GM should really be reviewed by Hyatt. They have the gall to charge 27,000 points for a reward night, yet the Fredericksburg Hyatt Place costs half that and is 100x cleaner, nicer, and on par with the Hyatt brand. Avoid at all costs."

"Convenient access from major highways. Close to downtown Richmond and airport. Nice pool and gym. Comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, staff failed to follow a specific reservation request to remove down bedding from our room due to a serious allergy. The manager, Othello, didn't seem to be particularly concerned about the matter when it was brought to his attention and took quite some time to sort things out. We will be raising the issue with Hyatt corporate. We had to pack up and move rooms late in the evening as a result. Would not recommend staying here until the staff are better trained."
