Comfort Inn Chester - Richmond South

"Do NOT stay here for longer than a night. Quite possibly the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Rooms smelled a lil funky but I was willing to look past it if not for the terrible service. Got scammed at their laundry mat as it showed $2.50 then charged my card $10. I go to the front desk they say since the machines are third party nothing they can do about it; talk to the manager in the morning. Zero cleaning service whatsoever despite me being here for a week and out my room often. Toilet was dirty when I got in. No plungers in the room for whatever reason? Overall horrible experience please please please do not stay for longer than 2 nights."

"Bathroom door would not close without slamming. Bathtub did not drain. Housekeeping went through my clothes that were in a closed drawer, left the drawer open....when I stated that I would like to file a formal complaint I was handed a blank piece of paper and pen and told I could write down what happened if I wanted. I was also told that sometimes the drawers just open....the drawer did not move my clothes from one side to the other. The hotel did nothing. Definitely do not recommend."

"This place has that musty hotel smell. If you've stayed in enough hotels you know what I mean. The room was ok and the price was decent, however this hotel is providing housing for VSU students so you are essentially staying in a college dorm which really feels like information that should be shared upfront prior to booking. As you might imagine, I was woken by boisterous college kids at 4 am playing loud music and doing who knows what else in the hallways. Checkout was 11 am, but I was harassed by housekeeping 2x prior to that when I was trying to sleep in. I did not try the breakfast so I can't speak to that. It also took an extraordinarily long time to check-in since the front desk person was on a personal phone call when we arrived in the early evening Friday. It's also lacking a lot of modern amenities. The AC worked like a champ is the best thing I can say about it."

"Great location. Closed to many restaurants,Gas station and shops.Room were nice Comfy Bed Warm showers Cool AC Microwave and Refrigerator. Free parking.I booked it because of prices, breakfast and the swimming pools. Unfortunately the pools were closed without inform on the website. I recommend to check with them before you booking if you are expecting like me. Breakfast was delicious. Special Thanks to Ms Patricia a hard working ladies at the breakfast room.You are amazing. Couples of things that this Hotel needs to adjust or improve: - Dirty Carpet in Elevator - A bunch of garbage bags left overnight need to be removed to get rid of the odors The rest are exceptional!"

"I was very impressed with this hotel initially. The front desk staff and the hotel management were extremely courteous and accommodating. I requested clean towels while I was out of the room for approximately 1 hour. I returned to the room and noticed that someone had gone into my purse and into my wallet and stole approximately $258 from my wallet which I chose not to take with me because I was doing a nature walk. I reported this to the front desk and I was advised that they're not responsible for what happens in our rooms. I had no choice but to contact the police to file a formal police report. At this time I am not sure if the person who put towels in my room was communicated with or charged with theft. It's unfortunate that the management is so ambivalent and nonchalant about the practices that happened in their hotel and cares so little for their customers. Please be aware if you visit this hotel."
