Hampton Inn & Suites Roanoke Airport

"Worst service ever!!! When I check in to my room and decide to use the bathroom in which the toilet would not flush. This not being a big issue at all, it happens, therefore, I call down to front desk and request a plunger. When the gentleman knocked on door and drop plunger and ran, I thought, there is not way this will work and did try however. (See picture). I then put my t-shirt on and shoes and made my way down stairs only to find no one at front desk, waiting around the lobby with a stick. I notice the person that dropped the plunger came around and told me to put the “stick” over “there”, and I explained I still needed a plunger, this is no one and could never work and he left the building. Once someone came to front desk, very polite I might add, told me to put the plunger “over there” of which I had not clue where over there was, I stayed I still need a plunger. She then replied, that is the only one we have and I said that could not be the only plunger for this hotel. She did tell me the gentleman would find me one when he returns from dropping someone off. Now I’m pissed. How hard is it to open the housekeeping door and grab one. She asked me would I like to move rooms after my computer I all set up and cloths were unpacked, this would be a major pain. I just wanted to continue to finish my work and use the restroom and be able through the night or in the morning, I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO MOVE ROOMS, therefore I used the restroom down stairs and went back to my room. I should have not drank a gallon jug, all night going down stairs from room 217. So, on my way to Ollies that closed early for some reason, I walk back into Hotel and I’m ask is everything good in my room now, and I said No, I still need a toliet. The lady at front desk then said, “I thought you were purchasing one”, I was but they closed early, maybe short staffed. WOW. I can honestly say I was shock to hear that. Still no plunger, not very hard………. Almost 10 o’clock at night, no one’s, answering the front desk, pissing in the tub. I can guarantee you I will never stay at this property again. WOW, Time to take a shower, fresh new folded towel pulled out of cubie, and looks like someone cleaned the toilet with it. Poor house keeping. This all starts with management. Stay away and go to the Marriot Courtyard"

"A fantastic overnight stay! Just as described in other reviews, a great place to stay. We stayed overnight on a visit to the area and were very happy that this location was wonderful and that the Suite was outstanding. We travel frequently and love finding gems! The staff was pleasant and friendly, and the unit was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back!"

"Today we went to my cousin's cookout for Labor Day. We decided to stay at the Hampton Inn in the area for the night before heading back to WV. The hotel was very nice and Deacon had a blast. Very clean! Convenient to lots of restaurants and mall. Quiet, nice staff!! We stayed at the Hampton Inn Roanoke, VA. Our room was awesome! We had a double Queen Room with a gorgeous bathroom with tub and a great view. The breakfast was free and included and wonderful. Deacon enjoyed his Homemade Waffles with Butter, Syrup, Cool Whip and sprinkles with Apple Juice. I had a hard boiled egg with toasted onion bagel with cream cheese and orange juice Kayla had some sausage, Potatoes with an a Omelet with shredded Cheddar cheese and cranberry juice. They have a clean hotel with inside pool and fitness center. Definitely going back and highly recommend"

"8/12/23 Nice and clean. Not a fan of the shampoo,conditioner & body wash refill containers. I’m aware it saves $$ but too easy to be tampered with. Shower water was good. The shower itself was not the best design to get into the shower since the toilet was right there. I didn’t feel safe with such a cramped area. . Personally I don’t feel this is no a good safe good design. Our room was quiet, fridge worked good. Shower Hot water was great! Left the cleaner a tip, as we always do."
