Home2 Suites Roanoke Airport

"I just spent 3 nights in the Home2 suites in Roanoke Va. I have to say this was probably one of my worse hotel visits ever. It started at check in when arriving to the room the water in the bathtub was continually running and would not shut off. Then that night the fire alarm went off due to the pool, the pool ended up being closed (one of the reasons we booked this hotel was to swim), then that night the heat was not working in the living room (temps outside were in low teens) a new unit had to be put in and it ended with the dishwasher not working. The other concern was the up keep of the hotel. I am attaching pictures. I wish I would have checked out and went to a nicer hotel this is not what I expected from the Hilton brand. Also, not to mention the lighting in the rooms. It was nearly impossible to get ready with the poor lighting through out the bathroom."

"Nice hotel aesthetically. They do not have enough washcloths apparently so we had to ask and only got an max of 3 each night. We were told by the front desk that breakfast options vary by day so they couldn’t tell us what would be available for breakfast. Walking into the hotel in the evening both nights it smelled heavily of marijuana all on the main floor and also on the 3rd floor where we stayed. We would not stay here again."

"We stayed one night at this hotel. On the good side the bed was comfortable and the heat/ac worked fine. The bathroom sink was obviously clogged somewhat ran slow. There was a roach that ran out from underneath the sink cabinet. One of the towel hooks and also the soap dispenser in the shower were pulled out of the wall. And at some point there was a leak into the shower light which did not work and it looked a mess! Paint was sloppily applied to cover it unsuccessfully. I could hear and feel vibration of people walking above us. I made desk personnel aware of the attention needed in 317, definitely not Hilton standards. She was very gracious and compensated us for the nights stay. I can't comment on breakfast because we didn't eat there after seeing the roach in our bathroom! How would I describe the hotel on their survey? Below standard."

"The location was awesome and the rooms and amenities were in very good shape. The reason why I’m rating 3 stars is because the breakfast was very poor in comparison to all the home2suites we’ve been so far. It wasn’t stocked -no oats, yogurts, pastry, tea, fresh fruits - as the rest. Mr Charles who was serving it was very polite but unfortunately couldn’t do much with the few ingredients available. This was exactly the same the entire stay. We had to eat breakfast outside all days. If you enjoy Home2Suites breakfasts choose somewhere else :/"

Whether you're in the mood for a hearty American breakfast or a lighter continental option, this place has you covered. The breakfast staff was not only attentive but also eager to ensure that every guest's needs were met. Oh, and the warm cookies. What truly sets Home Suites by Hilton apart, though, is the exceptional staff. Throughout my stay, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Whether it was providing local dining recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply offering a warm smile and greeting, their dedication to guest service was truly remarkable. In summary, Home Suites by Hilton has redefined the concept of a home away from home. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, impeccably designed suites, delicious breakfast, and outstanding service makes this hotel a standout choice for travelers of all types.
