"I was the very first tenant in my new apartment in 1998. I loved living at Ardsley. Circumstances caused me to have to leave after just one year but I truly enjoyed living there. I know this is dated and irrelevant. I felt nostalgic looking back at the website."

"I lived at the Historic Ardley Apts in Troy for several years before my relocation out of the area. The apartment had great charm with its original wood floors, original doors with antique hardware and old fashioned radiators that kept the place very warm. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe, with an easy walk to downtown Troy where lots is happening these days. The management kept the property real clean, hallways were professionally cleaned every week ! The grounds were kept real nice with improvements happening all the time, such as adding lighting to certain areas. The maintenance staff was very responsive and competent, always took care of any issues promptly."

"One of the Best if not the Best property in Troy. Quiet, secured with maintiance that is both proactive as well as prompt should there be any issue no matter how small. I livied in the original home and the apartment was both large and came with a beautiful priviate fenced in back yard. Off street parking with great snow removal when needed. Management was great during my 4 years at the apartment, a great professional staff. The onsite laundry was a must have and it was kept clean and operating and even updated with European machines while I was at the apartment. There is so much to do in Troy now, I was sorry I had to leave to return to the western part of the country. You have to see this property to belive all that it has to offer."

"Pros: very nice apartment; great maintenance staff; good neighborhood; allows pets. Cons: landlord rude and arrogant; takes no responsibility for anything and is argumentative. apartment being painted and shower head all clogged upon moving in. freezer broke, food melted; no reimbursement for food. cigar and pot smoking in the building which is "non-smoking"; landlord ignored it and said it didn't exist; others in building, including maintenance, confirmed that there was smoke smell almost daily. not allowed to sit out on the steps or lawn out front; allowed to sit in back which is parking lot - very isolated; I was very happy to move out after a year and get my security deposit back,. After I moved, I spoke to others who lived, or had lived, there, and to a maintenance worker. They all confirmed everything I said."

"I lived here for two years and enjoyed the space, but the management made me regret ever moving in. The owner is notoriously rude and greedy, as well as often downright inappropriate. I knew multiple people in the building ALL of whom have horror stories about moving out. These all include maintenance people and others entering apartments without notice, as well as withholding security deposits unreasonably. For the price I paid (which was higher than any other apartment I've seen in Troy) I would have expected some common decency if not courtesy. Before I'd moved out, I came home to find a maintenance man painting my walls, with my personal belongings moved aside (something my neighbor also experienced). Essentially, as soon as you notify the owner, he tries to flip your apartment even with you still in it. I consider myself lucky to have gotten my security deposit back, but still I had to battle to get it and it took over a month after I'd moved out."
