"We just returned from a stay at Gardner Farm Inn in Toy, NY. Our room was spacious, spotless and quiet; the en suite bath was huge, featuring an antique soaking tub and separate oversized shower. Breakfast was delicious and the conversation and company around the table made the meal even more enjoyable. The best part of our stay was meeting John, the Inn’s owner, manager, and chef. It is clear that he loves the property and enjoys his guests. He is an amazing host!"

"Really enjoyed my one night stay on my way to Vermont! It’s a beautiful property in a great location. My room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The decor of the Inn was amazing and I loved that it was historical (1700 and 1800s). Breakfast was great and the owner so friendly and accommodating. Loved his rescue Greyhound dogs Nigel and Margaret too! I would definitely stay there again."

"We stayed at Gardner Farm Inn on a trip to Albany! It was very easy to get to and from Albany from the house, but Troy is a very cute town to check out too if you’re interested in exploring the area. John is an incredible host and a delight to chat with while you’re staying at the house. His breakfasts were delicious and he was quick to bring us anything we needed in our room. The house and rooms are decorated in a lot of really cool antiques, so there’s a lot to see! The house also has a history in Troy, so be sure to ask about that! We stayed in the Mae West room, which was very comfortable. The bed was comfy, the closet and dresser made it easy to unpack and move in for a bit, and the room was always the right temperature for us. Keep the windows open to hear an amazing chorus of crickets at night, it was like nature’s white noise machine! The bathroom is huge, if you’re a fan of a long hot bath, be sure to bring a bath bomb! The water was hot and plentiful! We would 1000% stay with John at Gardner Farm Inn again. Skip the chain hotels and have an experience at this amazing bed and breakfast!"

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Gardner Farm Inn in Troy. We slept in the Josephine Baker room which was tastefully decorated with antiques, books, and art to represent Josephine’s life. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. We woke up to the smell of John’s cooking and a view of beautiful green trees outside of our windows. Breakfast was a delicious homemade vegetable frittata, ham, fried tomatoes, and vegan sausage. We loved chatting with John and learning about how he came to be a bed and breakfast owner (something which he was definitely meant to do). We hope to be back again soon to visit John and his sweet greyhounds Margaret and Nigel."

"What a lovely introduction to Troy! We dropped off our son at RPI and stayed at the Gardner Inn. John was the perfect host. The rooms and grounds are tastefully and eclectically appointed. Everywhere you look there’s something to appreciate and take note of. He made an amazing breakfast for the guests and made all of us feel right at home. He was also a great guide to Troy and its history. We look forward to staying there stain soon."
