Hampton Inn & Suites Norfolk-Airport

"Book this hotel for a personal trip due to the airport shuttle. Upon arrival I called the hotel for the shuttle. It took someone 6 minutes to pick up the phone. And then once they picked up the phone I had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. The shuttle was fine, but the ride was horrible. The driver was playing very loud and explicit music. He also asked me very personal questions I did not find the need to answer. I got to the hotel and went straight to the room since I was using the hilton app for check in no need for key cards. The room is okay. The sofa had stains and a few holes in its fabric. The mini-fridge was clean and empty. Both the bedside lamp and stand lamp by sofa were unplugged but worked after I had to plug it in. I called the front desk to ask about the shuttle in the morning around 7 pm, I should say tried because once again I had to wait at least 4 minutes for someone to pick up the phone. I did eat breakfast in the morning; it was okay, very basic but I did enjoy how they both full size and mini waffle versions. It was an okay stay but they do need to work on the phone issue."

"The breakfast and service was great as usual. The white bed sheets were not clean. It had black spots on it perhaps from previous person that used the room. The bathroom tub was not clean either."

"Amber was who checked me in and had such a pleasant personality. A smile every time I walked through the lobby! Room was very comfortable and roomy! For an older hotel, it was in great shape! Breakfast was superb!"

"Hampton Inn was fantastic. Miss Jones at the desk was there at the desk. She was supposed to be on her day off and came in anyway. She had a great attitude. She was kind, took her time, and helped with every aspect of the the room. I really appreciate her kindness. It was a long day for me. Amy"

"If you want your vehicle broken into and the staff to actually give a damn about it, come on down you’re the next contestant to be robbed here at this hotel. There is absolutely zero security and zero cameras. I checked in at 2 AM and by 9:30 AM. My car had gotten broken into. The nonchalant attitudes made me feel like the staff was in on it. I feel safer at a super 8 or the days inn across the street at this point at least I know they have several working cameras on every floor. They also have a double tree next door that conveniently doesn’t have security or cameras either. So, if you would like to commit a crime, come on down to these two hotels, nobody will know, and Norfolk police will do nothing about it. I’ve already shared with my corporate, and my company will no longer use Hilton. We’re sticking to Marriott where they care."
