"I stayed two nights at this location. The rooms were very clean, but a bit small for the price. It was also very quiet while we were there. The breakfast was good, coffee was a bit Luke warm. The mini coffee pot in our room did not work, but that's ok. The service at the desk was fantastic and we were checked on by Sashia each day. Over all, I was pleased and would definitely stay here again. I don't mind paying a little extra for cleanliness and good service. My only complaint is that the bed was extremely uncomfortable..... I would suggest some type of topper for the beds to soften them up a bit. Otherwise, we had a pleasant visit."

"Our first experience here and it was a nice experience overall. Easy check-in, clean rooms. The t.v. cord was not working, but when we called the front office, they brought us a new one. Fortunately my husband had tools to attach it and it didn't take but a few minutes. The staff was friendly and although we headed out early, the breakfast looked more than adequate!"

"Great customer service the front desk and house keeping staff were all very hard working and friendly. The room was very clean. It's was probably one of the cleanest rooms I've slept in even cleaner than the more expensive hotels. They have a nice fitness center. I gave the hotel 4 stars because the room did not have a phone the pool is in an awkward location and the bed cut the side of my daughter's leg."

"Our son was having major surgery at Sentara Norfolk Hospital. We live an hour away and wanted to be close by. We were welcomed and the front desk lady was great. Our room was clean on the third floor, even under the chair when I moved it. However, there were the most filthy mouthed women outside our room who were slamming doors, arguing, cursing, etc. This went on over an hour and they said they were going out to party and coming back. Despite having completely unpacked, we asked to move. I wanted to stay in the original room since I use a walking device and it was a much larger room. After moving we got in a room on the first floor that was QUIET though small. This room was also very clean. However, the bed was HORRENDOUS! We have stayed at Hampton Inn for two decades because of the quality beds. NO longer is this an option at most of them. The mattresses sit on some type of aluminum platform which is noisy and hard. When you add a cheap flimsy mattress on top, you have a terrible situation. I did not sleep more than an hour. On the plus side, the breakfast bar was very clean, the host offered to help us and the Oatmeal was fixed correctly! It is usually watery or hard. This man fixed it right and I enjoyed the meal! He also wore gloves and took time to keep the area and tables clean. Front check out was nice as we left and promised to report the beds. If not for the great staff and decent breakfast, I would have given an one star rating overall."

"The room was incredibly quiet and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional (and different every day!). The staff members were friendly, competent, and responsive and they had complimentary warm cookies available every afternoon at the front desk. Multiple restaurants were within walking distance, and there was a grocery store right next door. The only negative for me was that the bed was pretty hard and somewhat uncomfortable. In general, I would definitely recommend this hotel!"
