"My family of 4 booked a room to stay for the weekend, and upon arrival, the drawers were removed and the towels & wash cloths were old. Guest in the next door room were banging so hard we thought they were fighting. To make things worse, there were COCKROACHES everywhere ! Absolutely disgusting. They were in the telephone, in the refrigerator, on the floor and even one feeding on my mother’s body fluid on her wash cloth . When I told the front desk attendant she was very understanding but she already knew it was infested and didn’t offer a refund she wanted us to stay . I do not recommend don’t waste your money !"

""I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Norfolk on 12-08-23 and had a terrible experience. Upon checking in at around 11:10pm, I was exhausted and just wanted to relax. However, when I put my takeout on the table and went to wash my hands, I was horrified to find that it was covered in roaches when I returned. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined my appetite. I immediately called the front desk to report the issue, hoping for a quick resolution. However, their response was far from satisfactory. They simply offered me roach spray as a solution, which was not only ineffective but also unacceptable. Considering the severity of the situation, I decided to check out of the hotel immediately. To add insult to injury, the hotel refused to refund my money, despite the fact that I couldn't even stay there due to the infestation. This lack of accountability and customer service is deeply disappointing. I strongly advise against staying at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Norfolk. The presence of roaches and the indifferent response from the staff make it clear that they do not prioritize the comfort and well-being of their guests. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different hotel.""

"I called the hotel directly to make sure I could bring my dog with me and to set up a reservation. We had to say goodbye to our other dog this week and I just could not stand to be in the house any longer so Cliff (my dog) and I came here just to get some sleep. The room was wonderful, and I was able to finally get some sleep without the anxiety attacks. The staff was very sweet and accommodating for us. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that just needs to get away for whatever reason. I felt very safe in the hotel, being there by myself."

"First off, there is NO airport shuttle despite the website advertising it. Landed in Norfolk and made sure to call the hotel to make sure it was running and they said they don’t offer it anymore. I was planning to leave first thing in the morning on a 5:30 flight but because of this I had to change my flight once already. On my way to the hotel in the lyft, my driver told me don’t go outside after dark because of the high crime rate in the area. Staff was at least moderately friendly and when my plans changed, they told me I’d only be charged for the one night instead of both nights. Room was decently clean apart from a used wash cloth that was left hanging on the shower curtain rod. Overall will not be coming back."

"The hotel charged me for an additional night without notifying me up front or explaining why when i called to ask later. I feel like it is a scummy business practice to do that to people and I don't feel safe giving my card information to them in the future. It took many weeks to get a call back from them about the charge and I feel that was done purposefully in the hopes I would ignore it. It felt so well planned that I'm convinced they've done this to others as well. I felt otherwise safe and comfortable, it's a shame the experience was ruined"
