“I was the self-conscious guy, always minding my wife's handbag at the wedding table, while everyone else got up to dance. I wanted to learn just a few ‘moves’ so I didn’t feel so awkward. My wife bought me a gift certificate for Christmas. I was so anxious that it took me nine months to work up the courage to have my ‘free’ lesson. A few minutes into my first lesson with Dani and I felt so comfortable. I was so excited about going back the week after. That was nearly 10 years ago. Every week since, SDC has been my happy place. I love the friendly, positive and supportive nature of the staff and students. I love dancing with my wife every week, and I’m so disappointed when I can’t make it to a Social dance night. It has lots of great equipment like 3D printers and lots of circuitry. Great people. “Been coming here for a couple of years now and currently making project #4, an oak bench. Terry is an excellent teacher and will guide you from design phase to the end to create your own unique project. A fulfilling way to spend 3 hours on the weekend learning a new skill and make something with your hands. It feels pretty good to make your own furniture!”
