“A fantastic restaurant with amazing food and service! All round a great experience of Spanish cuisine that is one of the best in Sydney in my opinion. The Paella is the killer main; well worth the wait as we nibbled on the tapas meals. I’ve been going for a few years and they have always exceeded my expectations with the food. Didn’t have any photos but the place speaks for itself! Would highly recommend all the cocktails (My were the Raspberry and Coconut Delight and the Spicy Incendiaria) partnered with Gambas!”

“Firstly I've stayed at higher end places and not been treat like this. Felt immediately comfortable and welcomed! Its a very short walk to a wonderful beach and views. Wine and beer and the Irish pub downstairs. Don't worry you can't hear down stairs even when they live music in the bar! The meals are amazing! And you can take it to your room if you want. Order on the phone. My room was "turned down" when I left for the day. Its super clean and close to so many things!”

“Fantastic value, taste sensation meals at very affordable prices in a busy, happy, venue with family friendly values. Also boasts a great bar with ocean views, very friendly management and smiling efficient staff catering for all age groups - teens through to seniors. I'm there at least twice a week, once at least with family during the week and on weekends with my friends - we all love it! Spring 2022...An expanded alfresco dining area alongside the McKeon St traffic free Plaza is a great addition! Summer 2023...balmy alfresco evenings are even better, so relaxed, decent people enjoying good food and each other's company. Autumn 2023...ditto, great food, extensive choice of beverages and quality food still abounds with the sounds of the beach close by and pounding surf a reminder of how well situated we are her at Maroubra Beach.”

“This pub was so busy, it was a great atmosphere with a live DJ and the sport on the screens. Ordering was really easy via a QR code on the table. We ordered a steak and a burger and they came really quickly, so quick I questioned if they were for us. The steak I had was probably the best steak I have had in a long time. It was cooked perfectly seasoned well fell apart in my mouth. The selection on the menu was great exactly what you would expect from an upmarket Pub. I would definitely check this place out of you are looking for a good feed in Sydney.”

“Visited for dinner for a mate’s birthday. It was a Friday night and service was good. Young energetic staff, aesthetically what you’d expect in a nice pub near the beach, good size screen with the footy on and I enjoyed my parmy which was a decent size and price. Parking surprisingly was not hard to find on street, must have been a quieter Friday night.”

“I don't generally stay at the hotel over night. I only know what others have said about the rooms. But, I regularly visit the restaurant. The food there is superb. From cheap, wonderfully made, steaks, to deliciously made Italian food or burgers. Those two guys are brilliant at their work, and they have been since my first date here with my now wife over ten years ago. I am not a big drinker. Maybe one or two pints a year. But I had a Toohey's there recently, and it went down a fine treat. I highly recommend this place.”

“I have been coming into the regent hotel for over 10 years and I have grown to expect the same experience every time. Outstanding. The people that fill this establishment are dedicated to everyone that comes through these doors every day and every night no matter who they are and there’s a real sense of community in the pub that unites everyone around it. Whether it’s the University crowd or the locals everyone knows that the rege is a great local to head to and have a fantastic night.”

“Home of (in my opinion) the best sirloin steak in Sydney and only $20 on Tuesdays. Also one of the few venues to have a live fireplace (that I’m aware of), giving a wonderful vibe and coziness. I’d also recommend the cake of the day (pictured).”

“I recently visited this fantastic bar in Coogee, that left me feeling like I had discovered a hidden gem. This bar was situated right in front of the coastline, with a beautiful backyard that offered stunning views of the Thompsons Bay. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at this bar, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even when we realized we had forgotten to bring candles for the cake. They quickly came to our rescue and provided us with candles so we could properly celebrate the occasion. The bar itself had a great selection of drinks, including some unique and creative cocktails that were a real treat. The backyard was the perfect spot to enjoy a drink and take in the breathtaking views of the ocean. “Anyone who posts a bad review about this place usually were kicked out for being too drunk, I have been coming here for years now and have yet to have a bad experience, the bar staff are friendly and talkative, the food is great and they give good portion sizes for the price, the alcohol selection is very good, recently they're even started selling asashi on tap, not to mention the prices on booze are very reasonable. I lost my keys in this pub about a year ago and they had kept it behind the bar for me until I could come and pick it up. Love these guys. The bouncers are reasonable, ( they act like real people ) and the atmosphere is perfect. The bar doesn't try to become something its not but, they play onto the local pub vibe perfectly, if you're in the area, it's definetly worth a visit”

“The staff went out of their way to check me in even though I was way past the hotel check in window. The room was fantastic, clean and comfortable. The only big downside was the lack of heating on a very cold Sydney Winter night”
