"As a Fellow rege citizen throughout my career I was quite Displeased with my interaction with the rege last night. I ordered a pizza very excited for it, which I waited 45 mins for it to come. The pizza had a lack of chicken, approximately about 5 tiny little pieces of chicken. To continue to find that the base of the pizza raw and thin as a pancake. In life we strive for a good pizza and unfortunately the rege isn’t the place for that. Also to whom makes the menu, why would you think a chicken palmi and fried cauliflower go together Anyways always a great vibe just don’t get the pizza"

From the moment I entered, it was apparent that the staff had no interest in ensuring a pleasant experience for their customers. Their demeanor was consistently rude, bordering on outright hostility. My attempts to engage with them were met with curt responses and a complete lack of professionalism. Wait times were excruciatingly long, despite the pub being relatively empty. The staff seemed disorganized, and it was clear that communication among them was lacking. Basic requests went ignored, and I was left feeling neglected and unimportant. It is disheartening to witness such an apathetic and disrespectful attitude towards customers. Ambiance: The atmosphere further added to the disappointment. The interior was dimly lit, giving the pub a gloomy and unwelcoming vibe. The seating arrangements were uncomfortable, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the evening. The overall lack of attention to detail in the decor only served to reinforce the pub's overall lackluster ambiance. Food: The food was a letdown on multiple fronts. The menu boasted a selection of dishes, but the execution fell far short of expectations. The quality of the ingredients used was subpar, resulting in lackluster flavors and a general lack of freshness. It became evident that corners were cut in the preparation and presentation of the dishes. The meals arrived cold, indicating a lack of attention to timing in the kitchen. The portion sizes were meager, considering the prices charged. To add insult to injury, the menu descriptions did not accurately reflect what was ultimately served. The overall lack of culinary expertise and attention to detail left a bitter taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. In my experience, the Rege failed to deliver even the most basic elements of a satisfactory dining experience. The rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff, coupled with the underwhelming quality of the food, made it an evening to forget. As a patron, I expected a welcoming environment, attentive service, and well-prepared cuisine, none of which were provided. I would strongly advise against visiting this pub, as it is evident that they have little regard for customer satisfaction. There are numerous other establishments that prioritize their patrons and offer a superior dining experience (Doncaster). Spare yourself the disappointment and seek out an alternative venue that values its customers and takes pride in its culinary offerings."

"called and asked if they are show NBA play-off - and they said if it is on ESPN they can put it on for us! Both ladies were super lovely and brought water for our dog. Great pub to watch sports and get food at an affordable price!"

"I have been coming into the regent hotel for over 10 years and I have grown to expect the same experience every time. Outstanding. The people that fill this establishment are dedicated to everyone that comes through these doors every day and every night no matter who they are and there’s a real sense of community in the pub that unites everyone around it. Whether it’s the University crowd or the locals everyone knows that the rege is a great local to head to and have a fantastic night."
