“We came for the Newcastle 500 weekend. The caravan park was full but did not feel like it. We had a powered campsite and felt there was plenty of space for our camper trailer, car and sitting. The showers were great. Hot water with good pressure. Very clean amenities. Friendly reception staff. Felt welcome. Close to the beach and lake. Easy access by bus to the Newcastle 500 event (1 hour but free regular buses all weekend). I’d definitely stay here again - maybe for a beachside holiday next time. “Loved our stay here. What a location! Right on the lake, shady trees, heaps of bird life, great network of walking tracks adjacent to the van park, and cheap drinks at the Wangi Workers Club. “We stayed in the Hotel Intercontinental so we could enjoy Vivid, the Art Gallery and our beautiful city. We chose a room with high elevation for views of the opera house and harbour bridge. It was fantastic. The locality is perfect for the city and harbour, the Botanic Gardens, great restaurants, the NSW Art gallery , all within easy walking distance. We had a marvelous few days and we’re very appreciative of the early check in they allowed us. The interiors and comfort of the room were excellent. Would go again. It is pricey but worth the treat.”

“Stayed for two nights, food was awesome, well priced drinks, rooms nice and tidy with easy access, lovely staff and nice locals. Loved the big screen outside for the footy also. Will definitely be back to stay and explore more of the town and outskirts”

“Arrived late to a cheerful welcome and got a better price by calling them direct. Simple rooms and good value. Worked out during the night that the AC remote needs setting to Warm OR Cool as it does not have a full auto setting. At least the room was warm for the 2nd 1/2 of the night :-)”

“Swansea is a wonderful park. The management are great and have done a terrific job with the entire park, which shows with the clean and stylish amenities, maintained sites, pools, playgrounds and surrounding grounds. Will definitely be back!!”

“Overall a fantastic place to holiday at. Great family friendly park. Some little things like the washing and dryer costing $5 a load of washing was a bit hefty. Cost $10 a load of washing and it wouldn’t dry it fully. We didn’t have a clothes airer in our cabin. Other than those two minor things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We wish the fishing was better this time of year in the lake.”

“I had the blonde joe as my server tonight. A proficient , respectful and kind young man. I had the joy of being served by him. Also, the security guard Donald was efficient and also kind! He made sure the group I was with was both safe and happy. Overall, a very enjoyable experience due to the attention to detail, kindness and respect fullness of the staff! They all deserve a raise!”

“Absolutely fantastic!! The room was very big & the full kitchen was so helpful & it was fantastic to have a balcony. The bed was big & very comfortable & having two air conditioners made the room so nice & warm.”

“When I say rooms I mean we used the little function room for a 50th birthday lunch. It was lovely but far too warm and stuffy. We had doors pinned open trying to get some air movement. It is disability and mobility friendly, clean, modern and good food.”

“We celebrated our daughters wedding in this magnificent setting over the weekend. The owners/hosts worked incredibly hard to present the lawns & venue in a thousand ways including spreading soaking fillers after extremely heavy rain up to 24 hours before & then light rain on the morning. We hosted 150 people in a pretty picnic setting bringing in the equipment & styling the Bride & Groom wanted which set off the natural gum tree setting beautifully. Congratulations & huge thanks to the host, we are indebted to you & the team.”

“We stayed for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed the tranquillity and beautiful site on which this motel is situated. We had a small issue with the room which was attended to promptly by the helpful owner and maintenance staff. We felt welcome, and the owners wanted to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was updated and clean and had everything we needed. Location is superb with local shops, amenities just a short walk or drive away! Will be back again!”

“Large air condition room with nice heavy curtains. Layout of bathroom, room and tea making facilities fantastic. Off street parking but do need a car to obtain food as closest is a good 800 to 1000m away. Staff lovely”
