“Lovely park for children adults and dogs alike. Kept lovely by the council. Has had a face lift since I was a small child. But still as inviting now as it was then. “Fantastic hotel. Underground bookable parking at a charge. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a hot/cold buffet. The hot food was up some steps, so my family got my hot breakfast. The room was spacious, we had an executive room with a sofa bed. Very clean with smellies, dressing gowns, slippers, etc.”
Victoria Park Leisure Centre
“8 of us arrived today, there were 3 adults, 3 children ( one of them being severly disabled) and 2 under 5. We arrived around 1:20pm thinking we had a booking for 1:30pm turns out I'd booked the wrong day and the booking was for yesterday (14.01.23). When speaking to Alex who was very kind and accommodating told us the only thing they could do so we didn't lose our money was to change the booking for another day but we were feeling quite anxious because my brother (whose got disabilities) would have thrown a very large meltdown if we had tried to take him back out the swimming baths. Which of course the staff didn't have to help us as it was our fault. But Alex was so kind and offered us 15 minutes in the splash pool which we took without hesitation. So as we were just about to go get changed she then said there was a session in the splash pool until 2 so would we mind going in to the main pool instead which of course we said that was no problem. As we were getting in to the main pool she stopped me and said she would allow us 10 minutes in the splash pool at 2 so the kids could use the slide. Other than the main pool being a bit on the cold side we had a really good time without any major meltdowns. So we would like to say thank you to Alex & the team for being so kind & accommodating, you really saved us a lot of stress and upset. Would 100% recommend.”

WholeHealth Open Water Swim Village & Sauna
“I discovered this awesome club about 3 years ago. I was grieving the loss of my wife and brother who had both died recently. I didn't know what to do with myself so I spontaneously joined up. I was made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the mindfulness sessions and have since spent many hours floating around taking photos. The club is well run with a real emphasis on staying safe. I feel safe to laugh, shout, be quiet or cry there. There is a real community feel and absolutely no judgement whatever your swimming ability or body shape. A friend recently told me that since spending time at the lake I appear happier, more relaxed and positive. The club has evolved now offering full moon swims and saunas and there is the fantastic Wired on Wheels offering great coffee and snacks post dip.”

Colwick Country Park
“Feeling that the air is very very fresh. You can feed the ducks in the pond, and you can walk through the forest route, sometimes the ducks will follow you as you go away as well! But it is just too long way from London. It's at least a hundred miles away which takes at least four and a half hours long! There is a park around. It is not big but nor small. I'm quite happy that some of the ducks can fly and catch the breads, some of them are enormous and some of them are small and cute.”

“Great place to go for a walk or cycle. You can go round quiet a few times and still find new things to explore. Good for the family or walking the dog. There's even a lake for the dogs to jump in. If you go at the right time of year, there's a chance you will see the newly born animals too!”

Gedling Country Park
“Lovely place for a dog walk, with 4 easy to follow marked routes to choose from based on length and difficulty. Top carpark was very busy but plenty of space at the bottom. Great views and some nice carvings and art pieces to look at on the way round. Nice to see wheelchair accessible benches. Play area looked very busy and we gave up on getting a snack/drink as the queue was long and moving very very slowly. Suggest you take a picnic. Car park runs on a donation system.”
Vicar Water Country Park Car Park
“I love walking around vicars waters. There's a cafe on site which is really good and has lots of nice food and snacks to choose from. Then there's lots of circular walking routes with great views to choose from and enjoy.”
