“Very nice food, pleasant attentive staff and a nice atmosphere; small and simple but nicely styled, and clean. The garden room at the back would be very nice on sunny evening. The southern European style menu is straightforward and done very well, great flavours, it felt a bit like being on holiday. We particularly enjoyed the Roquefort cheese sauce with the steak and Albanian pickles (pickled peppers) on the side. A nice place to have nearby if you are local to Sherwood but worth the trip if you are elsewhere in Nottingham, definitely good value for money.”

“Just had an Anatolian and Mexican, both were delicious. Fries were still crunchy even though we took the meal home. Large portion size, well worth the money. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.”

“Best Indian food I’ve had in a while. Service was exceptional and friendly and the dishes were amazing and complex. We had the seafood starter, mixed seafood curry and bamboo biryani - all 5* with meats / fish cooked to perfection.”

“First time for Persian food and loved it. It was very quiet but that's Mondays for you. We were recommended some signature dishes, all of which were beautifully cooked with tender moist meat. I'd probably add a saucy dish next time. Staff were so friendly and helpful; the restaurant spotlessly clean. The only downside was very minor - it's cash only, which caught us out!”

“Home cooked Ethiopian food in very welcoming environment. The lady who runs it's was very accomodating. Reasonable prices, big portions, tasty...what more can you ask for? I would recommend the meat/fish feast platter to share (2 people minimum) and try lots of different flavours. A great time was had here with friends.”

“Visited as a celebration of a few things recently. Lovely venue. Beautifully clean, presentation and atmosphere. Food exquisite especially the amouse buche! We enjoyed mocktails and they have an extensive non alcoholic menu. Overall some of the best food we have eaten- the goats cheese and quince starter was phenomenal and my other half loved the cremue. Would certainly return for special occasion but overall good value.”

“Welcoming from the staff is really good. Customer service is top notch. The girls always come to your table and ask if anything required. Always having a smile. The food is really good. It’s a bit pricy but it’s worth it for that price. The presentation is really good. I would personally recommend this restaurant.”

“My sister treated me to this place a couple of days ago as a birthday treat. It very instantly became my favourite restaurant in Notts, and I've been to a few! A dinner that made our weeks. I had done my research on this place before so I expected to really like it, but wow the food is tasty! And the staff great. I definitely recommend trying out the Chicken Karaage and Takoyaki! The Miso Soup too. And the Beef Tongue! It's all extremely well-cooked and moreish. I love how charmingly decorated the inside is and the music they play (played one of my favourite songs - Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto :), and the instant you walk in the really nice owner gives you a "irasshaimase"/welcome and it's like you are transported straight into an izakaya restaurant in Japan, along with the signature open kitchen and minimal furniture, and sound of steamy cooking. It's also similarly, very reasonably priced. It's always a hard thing to really know, but you very much get the feeling here the owners love their jobs and the authentic Japanese yakitori/ton-style food and izakaya experience, and have a lot of pride in their business and ability to offer that in this place - and there can be nothing better than that as a customer. I'm very happy I could get this experience here in Notts without the plane cost to Japan. Will definitely be back to try more delicious things when I have the money! Thank you. :) Also, on the "small" menu mentioned in other reviews - everyone should know the smaller the menu, the more heart put into each thing! And I definitely still felt spoilt enough for choice here.”

“Authentic and the BEST in Nottingham! £12.95 for starter, any main dish, pilau rice, nan bread or vegetable side dish, coffee and mint! Excellent food and the best for city centre! Favorite starter Prawn Puree Favourite mains Dansak or Chicken Tikka Baha Any nan bread they are all nice! Recommended to all curry lovers! Enjoy and taste the flavours!”

“The meal we had here at le mistral was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection and the quality was top notch. The service was great and they fit us in very last minute as well. Would highly recommend to anyone eating out in sherwood area and it’s worth the travel from around Nottingham! Charlotte provided the best service I’ve had, ever. What a brilliant experience. I would highly recommend to absolutely anyone staying in Nottingham and it’s worth travelling out of the city centre for!”

“Lunch The pinnacle of Nottingham's restaurants. It's been a while since we visited our local fine dining gaff in Lenton. Managed to get a last-minute table. It's always worth checking availability for somewhere that is booked up months in advance. If you're flexible on dates and times, you could strike lucky as we did. Words really can't describe the experience of dining in one of the finest restaurants in the UK. Service is very slick and unpretentious, with friendly,charming staff. The menu changes seasonally and is absolutely faultless,from the presentation to the delicious tastes. We'll let the pics do the talking. They currently have two Michelin ⭐️⭐️. Could this be the year they get another. We know this is not in everyone's price range dining out. But if you want a truly memorable experience, it is so worth it. You will remember it for many years, long after the price is forgotten.”

“What an amazing food experience found this out of blue in Nottingham we had to travel from Leicester but LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS WORTH IT! Supporting local businesses has never been more important but yeah had veggie food plenty of options and meat as well. Staff were extremely friendly and food tastes excellent very reasonably priced. “Devine food! I drove a 1hr 10 round trip to visit based on reviews. I was certainly not disappointed. I suppressed the urge for steak and chose the beef blade, supreme and the parfait was quite simply the best I've had yet. Reasonably priced and great service. Highly recommended”

“What a wonderful experience we had at the World Service Restaurant. When entering, the staff greet you with warmth and welcome. The bar area is lovely and very comfortable. The food was absolutely outstanding (apart from the deserts - which weren’t to my taste but my partner loved them) and the service alike. Would definitely recommend visiting here.”

“Beautiful Italian restaurant with good food in general, they do an amazing seafood pasta, I definitely recommend it! Pros: beautiful place, nice space between tables, not crowded, the food is good in general, the staff is very friendly Cons: I got a home made patte that was bitter, but they took it back and of course they didn't charge me for it and another. Overall good experiences, I been here few times and I plan to return.”
