Bluerose Dog Park
“Our first trip out to this doggy play park after a recommendation from our friends. Booking was simple via the online form with emails confirming our booking with guidance and instructions for our visit. The are is a great size and is full of activity items and play equipment for the dogs and a covered refreshment area for the humans. We will definitely be booking again and I would recommend a visit to any one and their pups!”
Moseley Park and Pool
“We lived in Moseley in the 1980s and never got to visit the Moseley Park. Thank you Birmingham Heritage Week for giving us the opportunity to visit the Ice House and Park. How beautiful it is and we were surprised how big it is too. Well worth a visit on a Wednesday when access is available.”

Brilliant they where so encouraging.”

Sutton Park
“One of my favorite parks in Birmingham it's huge you can always find a spot where you won't be disturbed . 3 more water spots , flowing river , herd of cows , swans, donkeys ducks ,fishes, squirrels, rabbits this park has loads of wild life even bats that you can see flying around your head at the waters edge of you are there late enough . You can take a good 3 hours walk to get to the other side .”

“Excellent park overlooking the ducks and nesting swans. The Pump House does great coffees too, very friendly service.”
Waseley Hills Country Park
“A great place for a walk, lovely scenery and convenient car park. Lots of dogs so make sure your pooch is well behaved. Just the right amount of hills to make it fun! PS I think the south car park is free!?”

Cannon Hill Park
“Had a great day for a lovely picnic with family. Place is ready to welcome the spring season with great sites of quaking ducks and singing swans. You can spend a whole day in this park to ride your cycles, walk around with your little ones and enjoy the sun.”
Sandwell Valley Country Park
“Sandwell Valley is in a great location in the West Bromwich area. Parking is only 40 pence per hour with easy disabled access. It is a very large area and great for family walks , pets or a picnic. It has large lakes with plenty of ducks and swans. There is a great kids funfair and a train to take you around the grounds. The farm has few animals nowadays but is still worth visiting. The large activities area has plenty of climbing , slides ect. Usually has a couple of ice cream vans for refreshments. All In all a great day out.”
Dartmouth Park
“We love this park so much. Its absolutely huge and there's so much to do. Our last visit it was utterly chucking it down and we still had a blast.”
Highbury Park
“Very nice park to walk around. Lovely area to watch volunteers planting bulbs, making compost and general gardening. Interesting learning about the grounds and the buildings within. Very historical. Worth a visit.”
Droitwich Lido Park
“We love lido Park however it's having a little work done to it currently so you may want to wait a while as some of the walkways are blocked off currently and one of the children's slide areas which was a shame and not to mention very noisey for little children. The ice cream, cakes and tango ice blast are very yummy. The cafe is clean. The lido pool is well lifeguarded and looked after. Everyone seemed to be enjoyed themselves. Bandstand was clean, no broken glass when we went. Grass is cut. Don't forget to bring some bread for the ducks. Only criticism is on the walk ways where we love to walk as very shady, the stinging nettles need to be cut back so children don't get hurt. I know its good for the insects but there's lots of nature around. For 2hours parking it cost £2 :)”
Mary Stevens Park
“Beautiful park, clean and well kept. Very dog friendly. The lovely cafe was a bonus, too.”
Elmdon Park
“Nice local park, good for walking the dog and feeding the ducks. It seems a lot cleaner the last couple of years. It used to have a nice "secret garden" which was a little meadow inside the ruin of a building but it's all overgrow now which is a shame. The big fields at the top has hedgerows full of blackberrys, damsons, apples and slows.”
Bournville Park
“Nice quiet park small with the river running through it tennis courts and a bowling green”
Lickey Hills Country Park
“Our first walk and talk monthly walks 1.8 miles of walking struggled abit in some areas following the squirrel trail over tree roots and rocks but team work we made it. Lovely views with a park at end of trail where the children on the walk really enjoyed. Cafe ONLY EXCEPTS CASH. But it is too expensive so I recommend bringing your own snakes or picnic. Car park charges will apply soon (such a shame). Not sure of when.”
Haden Hill Park
“Some of my daughters ashes are up there and also spent many lo Ely morning walking jasmine the rottweiler befor she passed bless her also inside the house is beautiful and the play areas are for all ages my daughter has enjoyed playing over there since she could hold her self up”
Solihull Malvern Park
“The Nature Trail was enjoyable, & has a children's play area within it. The Café has a limited menu & only offers cake, Ice cream & refreshments, but the wife said her latte coffee was nice & grandson loved his ice cream. The park is worth a visit.”
Sutton Park Banners Gate
“Love Sutton Park always new routes to find Winter Spring Summer or Autumn”
Leasowes Park
“What a wonderful place to wander. Lots of pools. Amazing birds. See pics. As a Brummie I grew up playing here better known as Mucklow Hill. I spent many a day exploring here as a child. Some 50 years later. I’ve spent lovely days watching the wildlife. Kingfishers galore. Must admit i absolutely hate the dodging of stray golf balls. It is between a golf course. Not a fan but you can’t have it all. Free parking. Good for all the family. Go and visit. It’s great.”
West Midland Safari Park
“We went on 31st August. As expected was busy. If you have very young children probably best to do safari later in the afternoon when a bit quieter. A TIP if you don't like the queues for the safari...go on the Africa Walk, you see the same things but with less stress. But I'd say worthwhile seeing other parts first. Nice amusement park and lovely kids play area which mine really enjoyed. Really liked the covered picnic area and we'll maintained toilets. Especially impressed and happy to see there's a hoist toilet. Free parking.”
Shire Oak Park LNR
“I grew up at shire ridge and still love a nice walk around. It has been wonderful watching the changes over the years and how the whole nature reserve has matured. Love it!”
