Steamboat by Vintage

"I was previously a tenant at Steamboat By Vintage located in Reno, NV. My last day of occupancy was 09/30/23. On 11/06/23, I received the "Disposition of Deposit" (postmarked for 11/02/23, after 30 days of move-out) indicating that I owe monies after withholding of deposit. Today, 11/15/23 I received a letter from IQ Data International attempting to collect this debt. Prior to receiving this letter, I have attempted to contact the Steamboat Office several times by phone and left a voicemail for Elizabeth Espinosa requesting a callback to inquire more on the amount they are claiming I owe, no response. I did at one point speak to "Malibu" via telephone in the front office and she stated there was no balance owed shown (she stated Elizabeth would know more). Elizabeth has been unresponsive. During Walk-through on 09/29/23, Elizabeth verbally stated that my apartment "was in great condition for the time I have lived there" (since opening - approx. 4 years), she stated I might even receive $100 dollars back after wear and tear. This was very misleading then to receive the disposition of security deposit then collection agency notice. I disagree with the amount owed. The email posted in other reviews is getting kicked back. UPDATE - someone from their company reported my review. Pending a response from their corporate Team. UPDATE - It took reaching out to a Director on Linkedin to get in touch with someone to escalate this issue. The Director had Elizabeth rightfully update the disposition and refund the entire security deposit. The Director was amazing and very helpful."

"Apartments are nice, clean and comfortable. Although the trash bins could be emptied a little more often, we have enjoyed our short time so far. Laura in the front office was very polite and very understanding to our needs. She always kept us updated with availability and pricing. Once we moved in our door handles were a bit off. We called her and we got help right away. We are so happy we chose Vintage by Steamboat!"

"I really love living here. I love the in unit washer and dryer and the staff in the office. The girls in the leasing office are absolutely amazing and so very much appreciated. Elizabeth, Laura, and Malibu are incredible and super helpful. I really love the top notch maintenance team they have as well."

"I’ve been struggling to find an apartment for months. The girl I dealt with was nice but I’m very frustrated. I got an email from her letting me know I was denied, because of my income, okay fine. but she also emailed me 6 days before and told me that my income looked fine. I emailed her back with a screenshot of the email where she said everything looked great and asked her why she said that if it wasn’t actually great. No response. Update: I have now received a more in-depth explanation of what happened behind the scenes and have updated my review to be a bit more fair. Although the situation being extremely frustrating, the people in the office are very kind."
