Millies Tea Rooms, Chocolatier and Bed & Breakfast
“Rukiya and Beverley both provided amazing service. The minute we stepped foot, we felt very welcomed. They both took the time to explain the menu and ensured we were served in a timely manner despite it being a very busy Sunday afternoon and ordering as a large group of 6. As a Muslim, finding a halal place was important to us, everything meat based was halal! The food was very fresh and delicious. We were also served tasty hot drinks (e.g. Masala drink) - just what we needed after a long cold weekend hike. My favourite dessert was the cheese based scones with cream and chilli jam. Very accessible from the main hiking trails. I will definitely be coming back.”
Junction Inn

“We were looking for a cosy pub to wait out the worst of a rainstorm and Church Inn was absolutely perfect! We were lucky enough to be in on the last day of their festive menu, which was both extremely tasty and great bang for buck. The staff were so polite and attentive despite clearly being very busy, and the decor is was beautiful. Dog friendly too!”

Kings Arms
“Back to the way pubs used to be, there was a real sense of welcome on arrival, and also a lot of looks from the locals as I was a new face. I instantly got talking to the guy on the stool next to me followed by another local who also seemed keen to socialise. Quite a few in the big room watching football, a few people to the sides reading books and the papers. The fact its attached to a restaurant lends itself to staying for that extra drink, and taking a meal home to appease the wife! Really nice bar and environment, it's back to how pubs used to be, makes a really refreshing change.”
The Old Bell Inn

Anaconda Cut
“My partner and I moved into Anaconda Cut this week. We’re so happy with the apartment and the view. All of the communal areas are well presented and have a nice finish too. My main reason for posting this review is to feedback about Elle who has been absolutely amazing from the minute we got in contact. I’ve moved around and rented around 6 times previously and I’ve never known such care and professionalism from building management/resident teams. Nothing has been too much trouble. We’ve been kept up to date with everything we need to know at exactly the right time, she has always been available to answer questions and is excellent at providing calm throughout what can be a really stressful process. We felt welcomed before even stepping foot in the building and it was lovely that she came to meet us herself when we checked in. Elle is an absolute star and AC, as well as it’s residents, are very lucky to have her. Thanks so much for everything!”

AVA Travel (Leyland) Ltd
“My husband and myself have just returned from a 5 day break to Colchester. An excellent holiday from beginning to end. Luxury coach travel with informative and carefully planned excursions. The Holiday Inn hotel was of a very high standard. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Scott our driver was first class, professional and made the care and well being of his passengers his top priority. This was a lovely relaxing holiday and despite being out on trips every day there was no rush or early timed schedules, everything was done in a nice carefree way. I would definitely recommend Ava Travel coach holidays to my family and friends. We are looking forward to our next holiday with your company. Thank you Ava Travel for a lovely holiday.”

The White Hart Inn at Lydgate
“This week we were fortunate enough to have our wedding at The White Hart. The whole staff and establishment couldn't have done anymore for us. Their attention to detail on the day was impeccable and even the smallest request was delivered with such enthusiam and the team were so personable. Even when small hiccups occured before the day Charles and his dedicated team made us feel so valued and wen't completely out their way to get everything the way we wanted it. We had comments from our guests that the quality of the food was the best they have had at a wedding and the venue looked incredible with the roaring fire and it's naturally cosy atmoshphere. The rooms were immaculate and incredibly warm and cosy with all details thought of. We'd like to express our sincere thanks and couldn't reccommend this venue and team more to deliver your special day. Thankyou to every single member of the team, you all played a part in delivering our special day. Christian & Emma x”
