“We just had a 3 day , 2 night family gathering here for 12 people and 4 dogs. We received exceptional treatment, nothing was too much trouble. We all had afternoon teas which were absolutely amazing, and we had lovely evening meals too. The rooms were all lovely and clean, and the hotel had a really nice atmosphere. The staff (in particular Sean & Loraine.) Have wonderful customer service skills, and make you feel very special. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, its A true hidden gem.”

They even put up with worried mums like me checking in on her!! We have been using SooZoo for many years, and must say under new management I am very impressed. “This is a beautifully decorated, rustic, enchanting hotel. The 400 year old building is very comfy and warm. An extremely relaxing environment. A fairytale feeling to the aptly named Wizards retreat. Welcomed by the owner Ian and introduced to the area, given plenty of ideas for eating and day out opportunities. The suite (Merlin Suite) was extremely comfortable, warm and a delightful place to stay. Cake, biscuits, teas and coffees and toiletries all included and of a high quality. Just an absolutely delightful stay which we plan to repeat to experience one of the other suites there.”

Clare was available for us whenever we needed her - nothing was ever too much and it made the wedding planning so enjoyable! I would highly, highly, highly recommend Hilltop Country House - there is a reason it has been voted the best wedding venue in Cheshire!”

“We had the most amazing bacon & egg butties this week. The service was excellent, the staff welcoming and the pub itself is clean and cosy. We took our dog with us and she was made very welcome and enjoyed the biscuits they gave her! Would highly recommend and will be visiting to try the Sunday lunch now!”

“Lovely place, having its own separate entrance, spacious room, very comfortable bed, clean and cosy, nice and quiet location. 5min walk from the village. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We only stayed one night as we attended a wedding but we enjoyed our stay very much.”
