The Ivy Cafe Richmond
“I always enjoy eating here. The service is excellent, very attentive without being intrusive and you don't feel rushed or pressurised. The food is excellent too and very consistent. The decor is beautiful and very stylish and colourful. The upstairs Isabella room is very nice and perfect for a private function. I highly recommend this place.”
The Prince's Head, Richmond
“Great spot but also increasingly more of American tourists versus local pub. Don’t show up with 17 people and expect a seat—don’t be that guy. Amazing staff, great pints, incredibly clean and well stocked ladies toilets. Can’t wait to go back!”
The Old Ship Richmond
“Lovely pub. Good menu. Good selection of beers. Friendly staff. Two floors dinning.”
Côte Richmond
“We had an excellent dinner here! Delicious food with a good gluten free menu and gluten free flags on the GF plates so you know they are actually gluten free :) They staff were very friendly and were wearing masks to keep people safe which was very nice to see. I would highly recommend this restaurant.”
Rose Of York Pub & Hotel
“Definitely need a car to get to this place. We went to a service held there after a funeral. Was really very good. Staff was excellent and the finger food spread tge put on was excellent.”
Cafe Masala, Richmond
“Incredible restaurant! Such lovely service Sam was lovely as well as the waiter. We where walking around for ages and came across this place. They had a generous Tuesday night deal on so we got to try lots of yummy foods. Would highly recommend to any Indian food lovers! Will defiantly be returning in the furture”
The Mitre
“A fine traditional pub with an excellent range of real ales and cider. Cosy atmosphere, proper fire and friendly dog. Landlord happy to discuss beer choices, aiming for a range of beer styles and from outside London. Worth seeking out - it's hard to find and has limited opening hours.”
The Dragon Inn
“It's nice to go to a restaurant where they fill up your water glass when you're close to finishing and place your serviette on your lap. The Dragon Inn is on the prices side compared to other Chinese restaurants but you get what you pay for and the food is absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend and to book for popular evenings (Friday night etc) we ordered so many delicious starters we didn't get to a main course. Will try again next time.”
Beyzade Turkish Kitchen
“Absolutely loved this place. Authentic Turkish dishes cooked out on the open grill. Extensive menu with all the classics, baba ganoush, falafels and tons of Shish kebab grilled meats. Starters are around £8, mains and wine (bottle) are around £20 each. Ask about Turkish wines which are not on the menu. Great, fast service. 12.5% service charge is automatically added to your bill. Cozy atmosphere!”
The Queen's Head, Kingston
“Lovely weekend lunch! The menu isn't extensive but there is enough choice and nobody felt they had to compromise. The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! Clean plates all around. What more can you ask for?”
White Swan
“Very good food with an original selection of starters and choice of real ales, served quickly and with friendly service. A very pleasant Sunday lunchtime in the garden, would definitely like to come back again to sample the rest of the menu in this well-run and cosy pub in a great location for all the attractions of Richmond.”
Bingham Riverhouse
“OUTSTANDING service and food, beautiful environment. Absolute very best experience we could have hoped for for our Friday company Christmas lunch. Thank you to all who looked after us so well at Bingham Riverhouse.”
Whelan's Kingston
“This is a lovely pub with a friendly and helpful landlord! It's near both bus and train station, in Kingston! Had a great pint of Irish real ale! We also had a really good meal, a mixed grill, which was also a good price and filled us up, we will b going back!!”
Prince of Wales
“Really fabulous food and service. We live opposite, and avoided this place for food (the beer has always been great) for ages. The food and service is now top gastro-pub standard. Chicken liver parfait with pickled watermelon (yes, pickled) is sublime. As is the wild mushrooms with Stilton on toast, topped with a runny-yolk duck egg. Mmmmm Sunday roast is, for me, all about very pink beef and sticky proper gravy (chef told me he makes his by roasting a whole carcass for 24 hours then stewing it for a further 12 hrs. So, a change in management, and/or chef, and this place is transformed. This will be our go-to for a loooong time. Keep up the great work folks!!!”
GAZETTE PUTNEY
“The lunch set menu was really good value and excellent quality. Loved the Prawn Cocktail on toast, and the Pan Fried Seabass with a lemon and butter sauce, these were perfect and I’d highly recommend them! Also we enjoyed the Duck Rillettes and Brevette Steak buried under a pile of shallots. All washed down with a pleasant Carafe of enjoyable House red, we’ll definitely be back for more again soon.”
Lass O'Richmond Hill
“Was knackered after a stroll in Richmond Park. Reached there at around 2pm on a Monday afternoon. Very nice food and pint. Warm and cosy vibe. Heard that it gets very busy in the evenings and weekends, take note if you’re heading there during these times.”
One Kew Road
“New Years Eve afternoon. Party of six looking for somewhere suitable. Was greeted at One Kew Road by a lovely helpful lad, soon joined by Rachel. Rachel is a true gem. Her service was exceptional. We were so impressed how relaxed and capable she was. She gave us all an afternoon to remember. Compliments to the chef, food fantastic, good wines and beer selection. We shall all be back. Thanks to Rachel and her team.”
The Tap on the Line, Kew
“The food was cooked to perfection, we had Sunday roast, fish and chips and veggie salad and everything was just unexpectedly good. Flavors with many layers of spices and textures, quality of ingredients - everything came together so well! The service was a bit slow thought because the place was very busy but the food was worth every second of wait.”
The Fox & Duck
“We ordered pigs in blankets, siracha chicken sandwich, fries with parmesan and truffle oil and halloumi. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again!”
The White Cross
“Wow. I was blown away by this place. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, I felt like they were very inclusive and also gave my dog treats. The veggie roast dinner was probably the best I’ve ever had. The pub itself is very cosy and traditional and has wonderful river views. A really nice place.”
Taj Mahal
“Regularly have take aways and delivery is prompt and food consistently good. Will continue to use and recommend to others.”
The Cricketers - Kew Green
“The bar sandwich menu is really good and reasonably priced. The fish goujon sandwich is delicious. Soft fresh bread and packet salad but tender and fresh, with a good dressing. Highly recommended for lunch .. don't know about dinner.”
Coach & Horses
“If I could stay here forever, I would. This place is so cute, and the customer service is excellent. Everything is clean and updated, the bed is comfy & they offer complimentary coffee, tea & homemade biscuits in our room. The mini fridge is STOCKED & while some items require payment, they are not too expensive (ex: Popcorn is less than I'd pay for it at Tesco or similar.) Breakfast in bed is £17.50 even for a Full Monty. It was delicious. We had an excellent dinner upon arrival. My fiance had the trout with Broccolini & and potatoes. I had the dry aged steak with thick fries & a side of broccolini as well. Everything was cooked perfectly, we had two drinks & paid £61 which I thought was a great deal, especially given the large portions. The bathroom has full-size hand soap, body lotion, bubble bath, shampoo, and conditioner, and they actually smell good & FEEL good. The bath tub is actually large enough for me to submerge my entire body (I'm 5'10") instead of either my upper body or my lower body. It was so nice to get warm after traveling in the cold weather (it was ~3⁰C/37⁰F upon arrival). The location is great, right across from a big pretty church and small grassy parks. It's also right near Kew Gardens for anyone looking to do a bit of tourism (like me). Overall, this little place makes big efforts to make you feel at home for an affordable price. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely stay here again when we return to England.”
Leonardo Wine Bar
“Leonardos Wine Bar is hands down the best restaurant in SW London. Such unbelievable value and always an absolute pleasure! Amazing staff, for whom nothing is ever too much trouble, fantastic atmosphere both inside and out, and brilliant food. Cannot recommend enough - Leonardos is as unique and enjoyable a dining experience as you will find in London!”
