“In all honesty, PROMIS saved my life. I went to Hay Farm as a complete ball of fear, I was absolutely terrified of everything - including my own shadow. The facilities at both clinics are impeccable. The chefs made the most delicious food, and I never thought that it would ever be possible to enjoy food. The house keepers were so friendly and did anything to make me feel at ease whilst being in treatment. The nursing staff were super lovely and kind - they always did everything to make me feel more comfortable. And of course I cannot forget the admissions team and the therapists. They did everything in their power in order to help me. I will always have a special place in my heart for them all, they will never know how much they mean to me. I truly believe that there is no other clinic like The PROMIS. They go the extra mile! I went into PROMIS as a fragile girl, but came out as a strong woman.”

I give it 5 stars and would like to see the following improvements made. -Take out the rusted lockers in the men's lockeroom by the shower and use that space more effectively -Rehabilitate the hot tub -one or two Weight Plate Trees because the machines smaller plates seem to disappear and get scattered. Highly recommend their gyms though. Great experiences so far.”

Having had issues with numb legs and back pain I was referred to St Albans City Hospital and was diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and Spondylolisthesis I was seen quickly by Dr Bhalaji and team and put forward for surgery. The surgery wait time was very short and I have been given exceptional care by Dr Bhalaji and the orthopaedics team at St Albans City Hospital. I couldn’t ask for a more caring team and the information I was given regarding my condition and the benefits and risks of surgery were explained clearly and if I had any questions these were answered in a timely manner and in a supportive friendly way. “I was seen by the consultant Mr. Agrawal on Wednesday because of unbearable pain due to Kidney Stone as shown by the CT Scan. I was operated on the next day. I am so glad I chose that option as the stone was breached and would prolong my agony. I am now pain free and back to normal. The care was excellent and very professional from outpatients to discharge! The staff was so warm and so caring. Extra care was given to me as a patient with round the clock checks until my discharge the following day. The food was excellent too. Highly recommended!”

I went for an X-ray and it was done in 30 minutes, with a smooth process from checking in, waiting and being called. The car park is expensive but on street parking across the road is free for an hour. Alternatively, there is a much cheaper car park next to the church, which is next to this hospital.”
