Brothers Cafe & Restaurant
● Open552 High Road, London N17 9SY, United Kingdom“Delicious Somali food! My friend brought me here and it was the best restaurant meal I had during the trip. We had a soup, then a platter of chicken and beef served on perfectly cooked rice. Accompanied by salad and a super fresh and spicy sauce, let’s not forget the banana. We wanted to try also the date cake, but it wasn’t available anymore, lucky us I guess because we were already stuffed. Now I want to try their other dishes.”

La Cafeteria
● Open“A small Italian based Restaurant that provides good food at reasonable prices. It started small but they have expanded over the years. The restaurant provides two menus, specials of the day and a set menu. You cannot go wrong with either one. They can cater for small and medium groups if you make reservations. An outdoor area is available when the weather is nice. This restaurant is good value for money and will not break the bank. A light dinner for two cost me under £40 pounds. Staff are friendly and accomodating.”

The Crown & Sceptre, Shepherd's Bush
● Closed“The Crown & Scepter is one of those rare backstreet neighbourhood pubs that survived the storm of closing pubs across the country through sheer quality. The reasons it survived are its amazing quality authentic thai cuisine, its great range of beers and its large and comfortable in and outdoor spaces. Its also typically not completely packed out allowing for drop in visits in a time of having to book ahead, even on a Friday night. I would recommend anyone in the area to take the extra steps to visit.”

The Gladstone Arms
● Closed“One of my favourite pubs, always such a warm welcome. This pub has one of the most genuinely friendly atmospheres about! A true "IYKYK" pub, one of the greatest pubs in London in my opinion. Also great beer, fantastic food (go for the roast on Sunday, it will blow your world).”

The Plume of Feathers
● Closed“Going to "The Plume" is like seeing an old friend, small things change but essentially the best bits remain. Fortunate because I met an old friend there and we quaffed excellent Harveys bitter and lager, eating well off of their seasonally changing menu. They are still misguided in their football affilliation, but that aside it's a well kept, well run pub and worth a visit to recharge after a brisk walk in the park.Recent managers installed who love the pub and don't see the need to change anything. Held a wake there and food excellent with great service. a pub that deserves to succeed.”

Harrow Inn
● Closed“We held my uncles Wake at the Harrow Inn yesterday. Alison and Dave were very helpful in making the arrangements over the phone, as we are not from the area. The buffet was plentiful and offered a great selection of tasty food. They were able to cater for our vegan and gluten free family members with a nice selection also. We had use of a private room and indeed the whole bar including the garden, should we have needed it. Friendly hosts and good food, we were pleased we chose this venue and would recommend it!”

Chesham Arms
● Closed“Chesham Arms is a hidden gem of a pub located on a quiet back street that offers a lively and cosy atmosphere. The pub boasts a warm and inviting fireplace that adds to the overall charm on cold nights. The large beer garden is a real highlight, providing ample space for groups of friends to enjoy a pint in the sunshine on a hot day. Nice selection of beers with a range of local and international brews available. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to offer recommendations to those unsure of what to order. Great spot for an evening out with friends or a weekend afternoon in the beer garden. Its cosy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a must-visit for anyone looking for a welcoming and authentic pub experience.”
