"Maybe i got a bad day (Sunday lunch) but portions were ridiculously small (2 very small slices of roast pork at £24 for the plate) and modest wine + near £140 for 2. Be careful."

"This is definitely one of the nicest place I have been to. I have only been there for a meal twice, and can honestly say that I gave never been disappointed with the meals I had. The first time I went there I gad the roast lamb with vegetables, unfortunately when I got there yesterday the only option available was the roast beef, as the Lamb abd Chicken had all gone & boy oh boy! was I glad. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection by Ben (The Owner) I would suggest phoning at 12.00pm (when they open) or a day or two in advance if possible, to book a table , and get there early.. Ben and his staff are extremely pleasant, & can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your experience of eating at his Pub/Restaurant. I would definitely go again. My thanks to everyone at The Plough in Basted, Kent . Until the next time.."

"Great local pub. If you're after after fine dining, seek out the other local Plough! This is pub grub as it should be, high quality and high volumes! Amazing gin collection, lovely secluded, sun-drenched pub garden in a quiet, country setting, but it isn't twee, it's a pub that services it's local people!"
