Bentley's Oyster Bar & Grill
● Closed“Lovely lunch, the shellfish ( prawn cocktail) was super tasty and served in the prettiest of bowls. The monkfish and prawn curry spicy but not too hot and a really good consistency. My partner had the fish stew which he loved. Our friend had the fish pie, this was delicious, comfort food with elegance.”

The Bailey’s Hotel London
● Open“Had a lovely stay here recently in a twin double room. Hotel has a lot of character, looks the part for the area and is well located for local venues. Room was clean and tidy and well equipped with a decent size TV, room fridge and other expected amenities. Staff were very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.”

-
Holiday Inn London - Whitechapel, an IHG Hotel
● Open“Nice reasonably priced hotel with very large rooms (we choose the premium rooms). Very quiet, not much noise from street or other rooms. Neighbourhood is okay as long as your diet does not rely on beer and pork. Bus stop right in front of the door, tube and DLR are roughly ten minutes away. Very friendly staff, especially at the restaurant. Good breakfast. Bathroom and closet in the guest rooms rather small.”

Novotel London Bridge
● Open“Really impressed, modern clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. Cannot fault it and one of the best places I've stayed in London at this price range. Just make sure you Google London Bridge and NOT tower bridge or you'll have a taxi ride to get to the correct hotel! Recommended.”

London Apprentice
● Closed“The London Apprentice is an iconic pub across the Thames from Kew in the village of Isleworth. If you enjoy a warm afternoon at a Riverside pub, you have to find your way to this pub. It's outside area is substantial and its food tasty. We were glad to find our way back there today. It was a fine way to spend an afternoon.”

Dorsett Shepherds Bush, London
● Open“Gorgeous hotel. Stayed for 10 days to have somewhere to work that was quiet. Beautiful rooms. Only issue I had was house keeping coming in 3/4 times a day even though I’d told them that I was busy working but at least you know the rooms are definitely cleaned daily!”
-
Park Grand London Kensington

Citadines Apart'hotel Barbican London
● Open“My fiance and I were visiting London for the first time and this was an amazing location. 1. The rooms are fantastic. They have a fridge, stove top, and a microwave. It comes with dishes and a laundry machine on site 2. It's about a 20 minute train ride to all the major attractions in London. 3. The general area is very quite. If you are looking for an area with a lot of action, I would stay somewhere else. But it noise is a concern to you, this is the best location you can ask for. 4. Best thing if all is that the price was great. I booked for August, and it was comparably the best price I got from comparing to other locations. If you want to be in a busier area, then I would skip this location. But if space, quality of room, and price are a priority, have this place as a top pick.”

DoubleTree by Hilton London - Tower of London
● Open“Fabulous hotel which is well located for business and tourism. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The staff in the Exec lounge are extra special. Always smiling and welcoming. The Hilton Honors app with the ability to have a digital key and avoid check in/ check out is brilliant. I have stayed here on multiple occasions and it is one of my favorites in London.”

Travelodge London City
● Open20 Middlesex Street, London E1 7EX, United Kingdom“The people who are giving 1 star surely expected for this to be the Ritz or Four Seasons. The stay was fantastic, especially considering the budget price-point. Everything was clean and the room was extremely quiet. I was kind of worried about being on the first floor because my room faced the street, but I couldn’t hear anything at all. The only complaint I have is the shower. The water pressure is fantastic and the bathroom is spotless, but if you turn the water up too high, it splashes under the shower curtain on to the floor. This is just a design error. FYI, you have to request a hair dryer, cleaning, new towels, etc. IN GENERAL: clean, quiet, amazing location, comfy bed and friendly staff.”

Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge
● Open“Stayed on a first-time business trip and, boy, this place does not disappoint. Whilst it is on the steeper side for an overnight stay, the extra facilities guests have access to (spa, gym, pool etc) in the price plus the service and quality of the rooms makes it value for money. Room service food was fantastic and the room amenities are excellent. Especially love the small Nespresso coffee machines in the rooms, makes a welcome change to a decent morning brew! My only comment is the shower in the room did have some light mould/mildew on the tiles around the ceiling, but honestly very light and only spotted because of my height. Not enough to bring the overall experience down at all. And the breakfast buffet service, whew! Amazing spread of cooked breakfast items, fruit, cereals, pastries, juices, everything! Leo's Restaurant where meals are served has a lovely open atmosphere and great lighting from the massive windows along the outside wall.”

Moxy London Excel
● Open“A great place to stay near City Airport. The rooms are reasonably priced, medium sized and very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good, lots of options, and the atmosphere relaxed. It is an easy walk from the airport. Good value for the money.”

The Rose & Crown, London Bridge (PUBLOVE)
● Closed“Experience great, trying a burger, sure it will be fine. Very busy with lots of happy people. A great place. I am a bit confused as the boss says it's a backpacker hostel. Ok but £164 a night, guess I am out of touch. No criticism (in any bad way) but did not realize it was that costly for people to get a room for the night. All done, this is an excellent place, great fun and friendly. Take a bow!!!”
-
Old Bengal Bar
● Closed“Beautiful spot! But get there on time for dinner or you’ll be stuck at the bar having drinks only- which is actually a good time because they have a DJ so the bar area doubles up as a dance floor. The staff are lovely and guests are super friendly- you may end up on the dance floor having a good time with strangers, which is always a fun!”

The Westminster London, Curio Collection by Hilton
● Open“This hotel is great! You can walk everywhere, the rooms are very clean and bright and the gym was excellent. Loved that there was a second floor restaurant and ground floor dining option and coffee shops/grocery stores nearby to grab small items. Only complaint would be the hallways are extremely dark.”

Ye Olde London
● Closed“I’ve walked past this pub for many years but had never visited until today. To be honest its name and proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral put me off, as I wrongly assumed that it was a tourist place. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A much bigger space downstairs although closed on a quiet January afternoon. Loved the huge wooden balustrades that dominate the street level bar area. A Greene King pub but I was happy to find Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Even a garden out back - a rarity in The City of London. A hidden gem in plain sight!”
-
ibis London Wembley
● Open“Great location if you're seeing an event at Wembley. Our room was basic although was enough for us, tea and coffee was provided. The staff were all excellent and very helpful. There is a well stocked bar with a friendly bar team and a nice area to relax. I'll be going back to this hotel as also good value. Nice view from the room of Wembley Stadium.”
