The Rose & Crown
● Closed“Lovely little pub in Kentish Town. Loads of free comedy shows throughout the week downstairs which is the reason for my visit. Staff behind the bar are very friendly and the prices for drinks are reasonable. Didn’t get a chance to enjoy the outside drinking area due to the season but it looks nice.”

The Mayflower Pub
● Closed“Excellent food in a cozy, down to earth atmosphere. The Sunday roast was delicious--the sauce was flavorful and potatoes were slightly crispy, as if baked after steamed. The lamb neck with couscous could not have been better--tender and juicy meat falling off the bone. Starters were excellent as well-- delicate scallops with avo and bacon, and spicy squid in cream sauce with a baguette. One of the best meals!”

The Holy Tavern

Bucks Head
● Closed“An awesome spot for lunch after a long walk in Knole Park. Smiley faces and big welcomes as soon as you step through the door and the quality continues right through each course until you decide to leave after a couple of pints and warning up by the fire. Food was on point ans service was great, couldn’t fault it on bit.”

The Plough
● Closed“This is definitely one of the nicest place I have been to. I have only been there for a meal twice, and can honestly say that I gave never been disappointed with the meals I had. The first time I went there I gad the roast lamb with vegetables, unfortunately when I got there yesterday the only option available was the roast beef, as the Lamb abd Chicken had all gone & boy oh boy! was I glad. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection by Ben (The Owner) I would suggest phoning at 12.00pm (when they open) or a day or two in advance if possible, to book a table , and get there early.. Ben and his staff are extremely pleasant, & can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your experience of eating at his Pub/Restaurant. I would definitely go again. My thanks to everyone at The Plough in Basted, Kent . Until the next time..”

Bricklayers Arms
● Closed“Wonderful service, prompt with a smile, and really nice options on the menu. We ended up here somewhat by accident after the Grufalo trial and booked a table purely based on reviews. Although it was about 15 minutes away I'd say it was worth the drive. We had the double stacked friend chicken burger, pear and walnut salad, ribs for starter and the meringue which was a perfect summer dessert. Good vegetarian options as well. They cater well for outside bookings and are also well setup post Covid. Lovely pub, lovely people in a lovely area.”

Windsor Grill
● Closed“My husband and I visited in October 2022. Amazing dinner experience, awesome food and excellent wait staff. A stones throw from Windsor Castle, simply could not beat the location. Get any of the steaks, you won't regret it. Thank you for a lovely evening Windsor Grill!”

Hawksmoor Knightsbridge
● Closed“At least this restaurant justifies all the hype. The steaks are good and the rest are all quite standard. We ordered the tomahawk steak. The grill garlic scallops are very tasty. Service is pretty standard. No one pull our wine on the table throughout dinner. Everything is good enough but nothing special and no wow factor. Good enough to earn a 5 star. Food 8/10, service 7/10, ambience 7/10, value for money 7/10.”

Hawksmoor Guildhall
● Closed“Reunion diner with ex colleagues, what a treat. Plush surroundings and attentive staff. One of our party chose this restaurant as he loved the lobster, unfortunately on this visit it was off the menu; there goes "my initial" choice of surf & turf. I chose scallops to start and sea-bream to follow. The scallops were succulent and sweet and the bream was so expertly filleted that at first I thought it was the complete fish. The bill was a little eye-watering but this was a special occasion and we had a great time so it was worth it.”

Gielgud Theatre
● Closed“We went recently to watch To Kill a Mockingbird Bird. It was an excellent production with outstanding performances by all. I was sat in the Grand Circle Row C, seat 2. I think it is always helpful to know the type of view you will get. It was partially obstructed. So we missed some of the action in the far corner. But the tickets were priced accordingly. We paid £30 each. For the ladies, there is a ladies bathroom very close to these seats, which is handy. But be warned, you need to be quick as there are only two cubicles. So it's either a long wait in the queue or a trek to find alternative facilities. We went on a very hot day, but the theatre itself was lovely and cool, and the bar served ice cold refreshments.”

-
Lytton Restaurant
● Closed“My wife and I recently found this restaurant on Bookable. We lived locally and wasn’t aware it even existed; we were not disappointed. We were greeted at the bar by smiley Waitress and offered a cocktail of the cocktail menu. They have just launched the Spring menu which looked really appetizing. I went for the salmon and the Lamb and my husband Risotto balls and the Hake, the food was well seasoned and very tasty. Just before we had finished the Chef came out and chatted to the tables which was nice, Barry or Baz as he asked to be called even told us he previously worked on the set of James Bond! After dinner we relaxed in the Bar, it was quiet but so cozy. We will return for our next date night.”
