Chinatown Hotel

"Unfortunately, I need to go with the consensus on this one and call it a three-star. The location is wonderful, and there's free parking on the street if you can find a spot. Parking on 22nd Street Place frees up after dinner time. The room is very functional, and the bedding and towels very clean and nicely done. TV and Wi-Fi are functional. But a huge No-No which would have been simple to ameliorate... hair on the register in the bathroom, and the bathroom door was, for lack of a better description, sticky (room 210). 40 seconds of Windex and a rag and I would have given this place 5 stars, because it really is easy, especially walking to McCormick Convention Center."

"You get what you pay for! Location is amazing and the receptionist is very friendly! The rooms are disgusting though. Upon entering the room, we saw dried up leaves on the bed and what seemed to be pubic hairs on the sheets? The bed frame was hilarious as it was stapled on to the wall, the carpet was very nasty and stained. Entering the bathroom was worse as we saw poopy dookies on the toilet seat and hairs on the sink… again, the receptionist was great and the “massage” ladies on the street were our highlight of the mornings! My husband loved them! So they were the reason for at least the 2 stars! Can’t get a better experience of Chicago anywhere else! Thank you receptionist lady, if I choose to come back it’ll be because of you!"

"Very pleased my first time here. was a brief stay for a couple day's. got to see the Chinatown area and the surrounding south-side. Chicago is nice, nothing too intimidating if your not from there. The Staff here are very short sweet and helpful in there communications in helping your stay be comfortable. 5 stars!!"

"Location! This small hotel isn't for everyone.... it isn't new and it is outdated. However for the price it is perfect. It can be loud from other guest and especially the road noise. However they do have smart TV and youtube has a plethora of white, gray or rain sounds to drown out the noise. The rooms are small yet comfortable enough. The shower is nice and has endless hot water. Local business, grocery across the street, gift shop as neighbor and restaurant another neighbor. We ended up shopping at all 3 due to Location and wasn't disappointed. Parking can be a challenge yet there is ample parking at the garage, lots with in walking distance from hotel. Again.... this is 1 star hotel, yet it's Location in Chinatown is what sold me. A+++"

"if you are handicapped or have a wheelchair/crutches, this hotel does NOT have an elevator. Room was clean and stocked with towels. Bed was comfortable and had no bed bugs. Staff was helpful checking in, also made it simple. This location is a very busy street but has public parking 3 min. away. Reggies Bar is a 10 minute walk. Lots of food and drink choices in china town. Very good price for a one night stay. Overall this was a great place to lay our heads for the night and we would gladly stay here again."
