Reviews
"This place is to die for. It is so worth it to live here. Every single day feels like you are living at a hotel. The amenities are state of the art. The apartments are beautifully designed and spacious. You can tell they put so much thought into every aspect of the building. It is technologically advanced. Gym has everything. Views are beautiful. I could go on. Don’t hesitate to sign that lease EDIT: Changing my Review from 5 to 1 star. After living here for 1.5 years. There somethings that I feel affect the QOL experience here at NEMA 1. The elevators: The elevators at NEMA have got to have one of the worst wait times. 15 mins+ Also get ready to be packed in an elevator like sardines. I had to walk 24 flights of stairs from the 4th floor because all the elevators coming up was full To add, I have had to climb 28 floors to get to my car in the morning because none of the elevators decided to work making me late for work numerous times. Absolutely ridiculous. They don’t seem to care either 2. The hallway does not have AC so it can get muggy and stink from all the heat 3. Internet gets throttled and can get slow 4. Pear chef: the buildings own food service has overpriced and very low quality food. 5. The building was built in 2019 but the hallways already look like an old apartment with wood chipping, paint peeling 6. We have had our appliances break multiple times in our first year here. Our freezer ice maker and the garbage disposal button is so badly placed it get a water stuck in there and then stops working 7. For the love of God this place cannot get their stupid garage gates to work. I don’t know whose brilliant idea was it to add another gate at the 5th floor. That stupid thing has a mind of its own and never opens making me late for work. It’s so stupid. $300 per month parking and it’s driving me crazy"
"When considering this apartment building, insist on a tour at 6PM, do not be scanned! This is a renter's market, don't be fooled by the building. I am the last to assume the race card but the staff that work in the building themselves claim there's a racist vibe here and they're not surprised about my experience. You can find others on YouTube who feel the same way. Ridiculous for $3k/month for a convertible. I have found NEMA to be racist and negligent as a landlord. I pay $3000/month for a 570 sq foot apartment at NEMA including utilities. From friends being randomly attacked, cars being called for tow before the time limit has been reached, to most recently entertaining false noise complaints, this has been the worst landlord I've dealt with, going back to my time in college. Management takes their tenants for granted and puts up a show to pretend they care about your complaints, and nothing gets any proper followup. No, this isn't a "Karen" complaint, it's confronting the staff here do not seem to treat residents equally. They want to squeeze you for every dollar and oversell you, and provide nothing to prevent being attacked, correcting false advertising, to now preventing clearly unnecessary harassment."
"I never write reviews, but my experience with the property manager compelled me to do so. I have lived in the skyline collection for 18 months now and as an entrepreneur working from home I chose this residence, paying a premium price per month, with the expectation of a peaceful and conducive environment. This has been far from my reality. I have experienced a number of problems with the management here although the past 30 days, the noise coming from the unit directly above my room and office space is extreme and unbearable. It's not the occasional footsteps or normal living sounds you'd expect in a high rise living space; it's a constant, distracting, hammering disturbance that disrupts my work meetings and makes it impossible to record content for my social media platforms. Despite reaching out to the management about 10 separate times, the issue persists without resolution. It has gotten to the point where management stopped responding to my emails and concerns. For the premium price, one would expect swift and effective action to address such concerns. After my initial complaint the resident manager had told me that they are replacing the floor boards in the unit above mine and gave me a fake date for when the noise would stop. Although the lack of prior notification of this extensive construction project, the prolonged duration of the noise, and the subsequent lack of communication have left me feeling neglected and frustrated. As mentioned earlier this has been going on for 30 days now. I'm incredibly disappointed and would caution potential renters to consider the possibility of facing similar issues. A high price tag here, unfortunately, does not guarantee the tranquility and professionalism one would expect."
"Would not recommend living here. Building seems nice at first glance but there are actually a lot of issues. The leasing office staff is tough to deal with, my key fob stopped working on a Friday so I got to the office right before they closed and they told me they were heading out for the day and to come back on Monday, leaving me without a key for the entire weekend. I was told to just go to the front desk every time I needed to enter my apartment or use the elevator for a one time pass. Good luck getting an email response back from the leasing off, and if you call them by phone they will say they will get back to you but never do. The neighborhood is awful, lots of crime, a stray bullet actually hit my window (picture attached) and it took approximately 6 months for them to replace the window. I was not given any concessions and they made no effort to have it replaced in a timely manner, just saying that they “didn’t have the replacement window yet”. Elevators are always broken or incredibly slow, sometimes it would take 10-15 minutes just for one to show up. Internet was slow and they use a mesh system that is a hassle to connect to. Gym is nice but the golf simulator was either broken or in disrepair for 90% of the three years that I lived there. When my girlfriend was using the gym with her friend, on more than one occasion we received emails from the building threatening to break our lease because we can’t bring in outside personal trainers (which they were not). The pool only allows you to bring 2 guests on the weekend, which is insane given the amount that the building charges to live there. Not worth the premium to live in this building, and not even a nice neighborhood to make up for the other negatives. Highly recommend going somewhere else where they actually care about their tenants."
"I had an amazing experience at NEMA! The location is breathtaking, with water views and a dog-friendly full amenity complex. The concierge was so hospitable and the leasing team was incredibly helpful. Natalie was an absolute gem and listened to my preferences and showed me around the building. She even helped find me the perfect unit that wasn’t even on the market yet and got me the best price for it. I was so impressed by the level of service and attention to detail that the team at NEMA provided. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was aware of all available options. They have kept me updated throughout the process and have worked diligently to secure me the best price for my dream apartment. I highly recommend NEMA to anyone looking for a dog-friendly, full amenity luxury building in a great location with amazing views. You won’t be disappointed!"
