"I’ve been with CYM living for 5 months our Property Manager Maurice from the south shore location never answers his phone or reaches out whenever I’ve had a concern they’ve always told me go to him and he’d never answer or tell us to put in a work order. The first week in our brand new newly remodeled apartment we had to kill several roaches! It seems as if they built right on top without exterminating the building. Our neighbors were leaving full leaking garbage bags in the hall for days .We contacted Maurice and told him we’d like to move and looking for other apartments long story short it took over 3 months for him to put in the system that we’re able to move. The next steps were to find an apartment we set up 5 viewings for 5 different apartments no one ever showed up all 5 times. Then everytime I went to a property there was a tenant coming out and I’d ask how’s the building and I’d get the same result. It is ROACHES In ALL THE BUILDINGS OVER EAST… I contacted Maurice the very first time and the second time but no one showed up and I never got a response. Fast forward to me being several months into this nasty roach infested building that I can’t get out of and has never been late on rent. I recently had a late fee of $160 on my account and Low and BEHOLD…guess WHO IS BLOWING MY PHONE DOWN FOR THEY LATE FEE… I was absolutely flabbergasted Maurice called my phone to threaten me about getting evicted but never even contacted me about my moving issues or any of the roach issues. DO NOT MOVE IN WITH THEM THEY RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL AND ALL THEY BUILDINGS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN OR DEEPLY INSPECTED."

"CYM Living is terrible, they never come to fix anything on time. Emergency work orders are supposed to be same day service yet it takes them up to 3 days to come. Regular work orders are 1-3, but it always takes them 5-7. When Pangea was here everything was fine these new people do not care about their tenants at all. My ceiling has been leaking water and has been getting worse, they refuse to come fix it. The person that they did send out told me that the neighbors radiator upstairs was the problem so he tied the valve down, then said it wasn’t the problem and it wasn’t important and that him and his team have other important problems to fix in other buildings. Only if it starts leaking again call to make another emergency work order then someone will come fix it. Newsflash it started leaking again after he left. How is it that you’re sent to fix something and instead of doing that you evaluate the problem yourself and choose not to do your job? Well almost a week later and the leaking has gotten worse and they still won’t send anyone out. I’m having to empty out bowls and mop buckets full of water multiple times a day cause it keeps getting worse. It’s up to 3 leaking bubbles and now there’s water filling the light and leaking on the floor."

"This place is terrible I just moved in and have had a heating problem since day 1. First off my heat cuts off and never turns back without a maintenance man coming to turn it back on. They tell me that they will put in an emergency order yet no one comes till the next day. The property manager tried to make it seem like I’m the only one having heating problems but the maintenance man told me today that 5 people in my building had no heat. The property manager also told me that the zone lead only wanted to give me 5 DOLLARS A DAY! For my heat being off as if I am a drug addicted person looking for his next high. My heat was off for both days of the winter storm this year. They just put bandaids over the problem but do not fix it. As we speak my heat is not on and my bathroom pipe under the sink is broken. Mind you I have only been here since Jan 5th. They never fixed the kitchen counters that I called about on the 2nd day I moved in. Nor have they fixed the weather stripping that is on my back door. The only time I can get a maintenance man to come on the day of the emergency is if I constantly harass the property manager who also seems like she doesn’t give a Fxxx. If I can give this place a negative review I would. Also I have been waiting on a call back from a supervisor and also the zone lead for 3 days now. I highly recommend that you seek better properties. Mind you I have only been here since Jan 5th."

"I feel like l have been robbed. I was suppose to move in in November, but due to family reasons I could not. I already signed a lease for the apartment on 71st. I paid the deposit, but still do not have a move in date. The reason for this is because I haven't been able to get a straight forward answer from anyone. I call the main number and get routed to Jamaica to a call center. The people there just bounce me around like at a government office. So today I'm out of $400 dollars and not in my apartment. I want my money back since you cannot deliver my apartment. If I am having these issues now I can only imagine after I move in. Black people deserve better living than this. We pay hard earned money not stolen money."

"The radiator in my apartment leaked causing water to early the floor tiles. I made a work order and the repairman cans and fixed the radiator by placing a new valve on the radiator and placing it on wood blocks so it can be steady. Great job! I’m sorry I didn’t get the repairman’s name but he was friendly and professional."
