“The restaurant has an old school feel to it, which I loved in the era of Instagram places. It was my first time having Kurdish food and it was super tasty, serving was generous. So in my opinion order carefully. Delicious appetisers were served, I liked the lentil soup. Biryani, chicken , sheesh very savoury, they weren’t spicy but flavourful. The spinach soup was too sour for my taste but my partner liked it. The server was a kind lady and kept checking if we were happy with our food.”

“We visited as a party of 7 on a Saturday afternoon. Pre booked and arrived to a warm friendly welcome from staff. “The best thing to happen to Hessle. Staff are amazing, very welcoming. Food menu is amazing, as is the childrens menu. The cocktail list is endless. The atmosphere is really good, puts you in a good mood. It’s our favourite place. The events they do for children are amazing. The encanto brunch was amazing. But the one last night. Hocus pocus, was just magical, my daughter loved them both. Can’t wait to see what’s next for theses guys!!!”

“Great to see some amazing home comfort food to eat in. A little slice of lomdon culture in hull. Good selection of pies and sides. Deserts sounds amazing some great specials to come. I got the chicken balti with chips, peas snd liquor. My dad got the steak and ale and it looked great woth big chunks of meat. Food was great. Great price. Thry offer delivery snd the staff were chatty and friendly. Will be going back. Nice to see somwthing different in newland.”

“2006 I married my wife here, and when she passed away this month Aug 2022 I knew exactly where I wanted to hold the celebration of life. Afternoon tea served with tea and coffee for all the guests. It was great with the views on to the marina and outside seating. All the staff were lovely and nothing was too much for them. Thank you Holiday Inn”

“Went here today with my nephew who has severe allergies to egg and milk (so I was very nervous taking him there) and I must say from the moment we walked in ,to us sitting down the staff were brilliant the manager took care of our order and made sure there was no cross contamination we couldn't of asked for more ,so a massive thank you to all staff and for make our meal enjoyable and stress free wish more eating places were like this xxx”

“When we arrived with a party of 10 kids plus additional adults the server was very helpful, explaining the easiest way for us to order and making sure the children's meals were all ordered first so they were not waiting too long. We were all made to feel really welcome and the other parents all made comments about how great the service we received was. Phoebe was very friendly, chatting to the kids and especially my daughter whose birthday it was, making a fuss of her which she loved. In my daughter's words "Best birthday ever!". Thanks to all the other staff there too as they were all great and helpful. Thanks!”

“When we arrived the pub was very busy so based on that there were not many spare tables, we found a reserved table which had obviously been a no show as the time was well exceeded. I went to the bar to order which took a while as it was busy, no complaints here as it is nice to see a place thriving in these hard times. Order was taken efficiently and the barmaid was very nice and friendly. I ordered 4 meals plus a childs meal, 4 drinks and a fruit shoot for the toddler and the price was £53 which I thought was excellent value for the size of the meals. We waited approx 20 mins or so for the food to arrive, which was totally acceptable as I have already stated the place was heaving and the kitchen was very busy. Loved the food and will be back as my son and his wife live only a short walk away.”

“Food was really good. We couldn't get through on the phone so decided to chance it and drive to the restaurant. Salt and pepper chicken very tasty, chicken curry was lush (except not a fan of mushrooms), chips were spicy and very tasty. The guy we met in the restaurant was very nice.”

“Could not fault the staff. The day before we stayed we had a phone call to ask if it was a special occasion, it was my daughters birthday, they put treats in my daughters room and gave her a card. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. This is the best Premier Inn we have stayed in and that is down to the staff.”

“First time and it won't be my last. Great steak meal with green peppercorn sauce and roasted tomatoes. Classic 1970s chocolate mousse to finish. Meal made all the better with 25% early bird discount before 7pm”
