Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Lake Buena Vista, an IHG Hotel

"Terrible...The worst hotel I have ever stayed. When I turned on the heater the curtain was flying on the air so there was no privacy at all. They put used facial tissues in toilet. No new amenities. Seems like they are not replenishing amenities at all. The drain was clogged and stuck, so I had requested a room change. The room I changed into had a water filled up in a conditioner bottle. Gross. Employees have bad attitudes. Stay away if you value hygiene."

"Staff was really great here and that is the only reason this place is getting two stars. Location is horrible. The entrance to the building is constantly blocked by other drivers. 100% the worst experience I have ever had getting in and out of a hotel. Gym is weak. Hot water for the shower and sink take forever to warm up. Getting the water hot in the shower is stupid impossible. It's like trying to crack a safe with the mixing valve."

"In dire need of renovations, even the drapes in our window had big holes in them. Very old carpet, decent comfort in bed at least, arms on the desk chair in tatters, holes in the pool (at least well heated), “free shuttle” to Disney parks that is actually thirty dollars extra a day even on the day you arrive when you cannot take the shuttle that ends by 11am, really needs to reassess the “resort fee” I argued and got sixty of 90 back (stayed three nights): should have spent the extra for a Disney resort. Staff were very friendly and service was good, halls were clean but man this hotel is super old. One thing I love about Marriott chain is it always tells you age of hotel and last year rooms were renovated. IHG could learn a thing or two. Horrible spot to exit into traffic, always clogged."

"Would have given this place a five-star if not for the bathroom. I'm a you-get-what-you-pay-for guy. That said, I wasn't expecting much from this hotel since it is one of the most affordable places to stay around Disney. However, the bathroom was just way below my even-lowered expectations. It was full of musty odors - I'm guessing they were from the shower curtain because it had mold everywhere. I could easily tell the bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned for months - just on the surface level to seemingly look clean. What made it worse was that the hot water didn't function properly. The wall started to vibrate and make a weird noise whenever I turned the shower faucet to get some hot water. I got lukewarm water for three nights, at best. Also, I'm not sure why the hotel didn't have a "do not disturb" sign in the rooms. The housekeeper kept knocking on our door every 30 minutes or so when we wanted some good sleep in the morning. Nonetheless, the staff was nice, the room was spacious, and its location/distance to Disney was unbeatable - hence, the three stars."
