DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando

"Currently staying at the hotel and have 2 rooms booked. BOTH rooms have dirty bedding with brown/yellow stains which is kind of disgusting. However, customer service was good to send up housekeeping to change sheets but had to wait a while for it the team to come. Also disappointed on the wait time of one of my rooms. Check in is at 4pm and room should be ready by then, but our room wasn’t even ready when we got to the hotel at 6pm. As well, bell service missed one of our luggages for our room. I’ve stayed at many Hilton hotels, but not sure if we would stay at this location again. I’m sure there are probably better options."

"I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond member. I only stay at Hilton brand hotels. Older hotel but it was well maintained. The rooms were really clean. The pool and hot tub were very nice! Sunshine cafe had good breakfast. They have Starbucks on site. It’s close to everything you need. Staff were very friendly!"

"We stayed the first weekend in February 2024. We were in town attending an event. The hotel is very pretty and clean. They provided different food options, pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, gym, and even a game room. There's an area where you can rent a car. They have an area were guest and do laundry. I didn't like how you have to pay for regular parking."

"The best part of this hotel is the walking distance to Universal Studios. Everything else was very disappointing. 1. Sunshine Cafe. SEVERELY Overpriced buffet with food that was disgusting. I don't use that word lightly. It took everything I had not to retch from taking a sip of their dishwater-tasting coffee, and the "food" was just as bad. Runny eggs, greasy undercooked bacon, stale biscuits...I've had better breakfast buffets at a Best Western. The server was very nice, though. 2. Every day we were approached by friendly but persistent staff trying to sell us vacation packages. In 3 days, we were approached by 6 different people and they were all friendly but pushy. Big turnoff for an expensive hotel. 3. The bar staff were nice but drink prices were outrageous. Stay there for the convenience (or for Hilton Diamond members like me, stay for the points). But definitely don't eat or drink there...and watch out for the never-ending barrage of sales pitches."

"We had a great experience. The hotel is older but they’ve done a great job maintaining it. Our room was clean and comfortable. The elevators were a bit slow. We enjoyed the on site Starbucks. Breakfast at the Sunshine Cafe was crazy expensive at $74 for the two of us but it was delicious. The chef working the omelette station did a fabulous job and our waiter Vinny was amazing! The location of the hotel cannot be beat for going to Universal and City Walk. It’s right at the entrance. We had a lovely time and would stay here again."
