Armando's Restaurant at The Talbot Hotel
● Open“Really great food but the thing that truly makes it five star is the service. In this day and age with apathetic understaffed restaurants everywhere we were seriously impressed with the service team. They all looked happy and enthusiastic. Lovely to see. A really great meal!”

The Wonky Table Restaurant
● Closed“Booked online without issue. It’s somewhere we’d both wanted to visit for some time, so chose a belated Birthday and Date Night to do so It looks smart from the outside. Inside is cosy, traditional, and warm, with a homely feel to it. We were promptly greeted, and shown to our table (downstairs; window). The restaurant was near-full whilst we were there Service was impeccable throughout - traditional, attentive, and personable. As such, we were never left wanting for drinks, and our orders were taken promptly at each stage of our meal We enjoyed Prosecco and cocktails during our evening. All were really tasty The food is beautiful! We shared Bao Buns, devoured the Sea Bass and Belly of Pork, and shared a Dessert. All were faultless - well presented, beautifully cooked, and perfectly portioned Testament to its popularity, we enjoyed our stay to its fullest, and were asked for our table so it could be prepared for other reservations (we’d been told about this when we booked) We SHALL return! 2 adults - Food and Drinks - 3 courses - £55 each - February NB - It’s dog-friendly! Harry (guest dog) was a beaut, keeping us entertained while we waited to be seated”

Finale
● Closed“Truly amazing food. Love Thai food and have been to many Thai restaurants but this is by far the tastiest food Ive had. Tbh not very glitzy but not many are as they let the food do the talking. Can only imagine if it was glitzy it would reflect in the price as for the quality of the food to the price its a win win. We will definitely be back thank you.”

Koriander
● Closed“I placed an order thinking it’ll be like any other Asian takeaway - do not make the same mistake I did!!! This is the cleanest food with the healthiest ingredients I’ve tried. The chefs knowledge, attention to detail (like mixing and matching Oils and flavours) and customer service is second to none. It’s a family run business with a clear ethos and love for food. Great to see people doing what they love and doing it WELL. Whether your vegan, vegetarian or love meat this is for you. Hats off to you all. Wow, just wow!!!”

The Boot Inn
● Open“My partner and I attended today for a Sunday lunch. Both of us were let’s say delighted with the beef main and the boot platter which is a mix of beef, chicken and pork. All cooked to perfection. Roast potatoes were simply lovely but the toppers were the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage mix which was simply divine. We didn’t do the pudding on this occasion but will do next time. Btw their own Boot IPA was also a great pint. Beautiful location”

Clock Bistro
● Closed“I don;t often do reviews but this was such a good find. Needed a central point with parking for the girls meet up - always hard to find somewhere central to us all. The cocktails and waffles were amazing! There was a huge choice and all cooked fresh to order (they smelt out of this world). All accompanied with a couple of cocktails. I'm probably going to try Sunday lunch here next time - it's one of those places that I think will become a favourite for loads of occasions!”

Afrikana
● Closed“We had a lovely lunch here today. We had the sharing platter and extra jollof rice. The hummus was the best I’ve ever had. The choice of sauces was a pleasant surprise too. THE AFRIKANA, and the mixed peri were my favourite. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful. A member even came outside to ask if I wanted to see a menu as I was struggling to see the one outside as it was to high up for me to see while sit in my wheelchair. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you.”

Carluccio's
● Open“This place is AMAZING! We have visited this place a few weeks ago with the aim to spend an evening with high-quality food in a cozy area and this place has not only fulfilled but exceeded my expectations! The place looks brilliant due to high attention to many interior details which creates a fancy-looking environment. The food quality is incredible. We have ordered pasta and I have to admit that was the best pasta I have encountered. They managed to bring whole Italy to my plate and deliver the pasta of thousand flavours. Finally, the service quality is exceptional. Our waiter TOM did an outstanding job by making suggestions for the menu choices, introducing the history of the restaurant as well as making the evening even more special with an everlasting smile. Overall, a brilliant place for a cozy evening with the highest standard food and service. I would highly recommend it!”

The Boardwalk Bar & Dining
● Closed“Visited with a large group. We were told that we would have to sit on smaller tables and the food wouldn't be brought out together which wasn't a problem. Lots of choice on the menu and we all enjoyed our food. The staff were nice and friendly and the place had a good atmosphere and lovely views from the upstairs windows.”
