“What a lovely surprise to find somewhere serving such GREAT food this close to home. Our meals were cooked to perfection with great meats, and beautiful vegetables (plenty of them too), and served piping hot - on hot plates which makes a pleasant change nowadays. The service was great, the food was cooked in a fair time and the prices are reasonable too. We will definitely visit again.”

“We've been here a few times and consistently get fantastic tasty food and excellent service to go with it. Helen is especially friendly, polite, and attentive. That's not to say the rest of the staff aren't also excellent, but Helen, I wanted to point out as being such a fantastic server. Our most recent visit we tried the small plates and treated it like tapas. All the dishes were excellent. The chicken wings were especially tasty, really moist, and full of flavour. The squid was also delicious. Not rubbery that you can sometimes get, and the accompanying sauce was delicious. The prawns were also a highlight, so much flavour! Whilst the inside of the restaurant (hotel) is fabulous, a sunny day and sitting outside is definitely the best way to enjoy here. The grounds are stunning and so lovely to sit and enjoy your food and drink in. Parking is free, and we've never had an issue finding a place. We have never needed to book, although we mainly come for lunch, so dinner service may be different and may be worth booking for that. Can't recommend coming here enough!”

The outstanding element of my visit was the customer service, and it made me think every restaurant should learn from these individuals. The food was amazing, as I expected, the place was packed, and the smell of fresh pastries/ food makes you stay there. Please note that there is limited space for eating in, but the shop was busy even people are happy to get a takeaway from this place. There is a price difference between ordering food from the app. I would highly recommend visiting this place. Chicken Gyro Wrap The gyro wrap was the highlight, with chips, and the meat was juicy and tender. The sauce complimented the wrap well, and it was a decent portion too. Chicken pie with 4 kinds of cheese The pastry was well cooked, and as I ate it, I could taste cheese with various tastes inside my mouth. It was savoury and cheesy, but not as much as I expected. I think I will try another pastry next time. Ferro Rocher Mouse Cake It just cut through and melted perfectly. The amount of sugar was so balanced and made me eat more and more even though I was full.”

“Great location in Leek's conservation area. Easy to park on-site. Building in good order and with interesting history. Bedroom & bathroom well-decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Lounge area with a small bar perfect for a stiff one at the end of a day's exploring. Owner is very genial and warm. Recommended.”

The best meal out we've had in a long time. Beautiful locally sourced steak, seasonal veg and beautiful desserts to choose from. Don't let the outside put you off, definitely a gem of a find. Next time we're visiting will definitely be back.”

“Popped in as passing and looked inviting. Staff were wonderful, so approachable and friendly. Sat outside and such a wonderful atmosphere, dogs welcome and lovely to see ducks and geese walking around. Spotlessly clean, the skin on fries were recommended and lived up to their recommendation as did the garlic ciabatta with cheese....delicious. Will definitely go back x”
