"I visited this church recently and felt like I was on display. Maybe it's the local community, but the folks at my main parish don't have a problem with visitors of color, particularly black. I see what the other reviewer meant. It was an awkward mass for me and my son. Churches were forcibly segregated during the Jim Crow Era, but it still feels that way today when your family is treated with disdain in the pews. I can tell the Father really tries with this parish. The music selection was good, but the involvement in singing was a bit low. Sometimes, I wish we could have more of that religious energy Catholics in other countries have."
