"This place is a joke. Made a reservation online / Budget debited my account $75. I show up the next day and the location had NO trucks available. I call to follow up and “Morris” can’t properly answer the phone. Eating and chewing over the phone while asking someone the number. Then he tells me 1.800. Go Budget Thanks for that, like I couldn’t get that myself. The bare minimum here. Zero pride, warm bodies. That’s about it. Never returning or referring anyone else here. What a joke."

"I rented a moving truck from a different location and had to return it here. I dropped the trailer off a day before the truck. At no time, did the guys (who we spoke to) tell us that we were still going to be charged for the trailer because they couldn't split it. Then they are charging me $133 extra when it was supposed to be $35 plus tax. When he said he was going to run my card I told him there wasn't enough on there for it to go through. His response was "Oh we have ways to get the money off there". Then one of the guys got aggravated because my husband had to replace a fuse for the trailer lights to work. He said we should have called someone and they would have done it. We didn't even hook the car up until we were getting ready to pull out and sure as hell wasn't going to wait on someone to come out and do what my husband did in 5 minutes. And we paid for the fuse so they weren't out anything. When my husband called corporate to find out what they were going to do about us being lied to and overcharged, he basically got an "oh well". I have always used U-Haul. They only reasoned didn't this time was because Budget was offering unlimited miles and we were going from Colorado to Illinois. But I will NEVER make this mistake again. I will NEVER use Budget again and if I hear anyone say they are moving, I will steer them towards U-Haul."

"I had booked a 16' truck but changed the size to a larger one. When i showed up to pick up the larger one they told me they didn't have one. I was forced to take the smaller truck with the agreement that i would get a discount. We ended up be charged more. I would have given them a 1 star based on their phone customer service and the headache this caused. Thanks to Lidia the corporate representative i emailed who straightened things out and refunded me the extra money charged i gave them a 3 stars. She is the only redeeming factor out of this ordeal."

"Made our reservation weeks in advance and confirmed days before pickup. We were told our truck would be there on pick up date. Received a call the morning of pick up and we were told the truck was not there. Followed up all day with employee who stated he knew nothing about the whereabouts of our truck. Called customer service and they were no help. No one ever called us back to even apologize. Set our move a day behind. We rented with Penske in Fairvie heights instead, they were marvelous. We were also warned to never use budget or uhaul because they are both apparently notorious for dropping the ball. Guess they don't like making any money..."

"The lady at the branch was amazing but I will never book through budget again. I reserved a moving truck that apparently budget didn't have. No 16ft truck in sight . Even though I made this reservation way in advance the corporate office made a reservation for something they didn't even have available on the lot. I am now stuck driving around looking for another truck today so I can move."
