Budget Car Rental 5330 North Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208

"The truck I was given shut off every time you breaked too hard or turned too hard. I didn’t have enough time to call roadside assistance because we had to get our new apartment keys before they closed or we’d have to wait 2 days to move in. Oh yeah, it also rained and the truck leaked all the water on everything we had in there. When calling customer service I was offered 10% ($40) refund, I insisted on 100%, they up it to 20%, spoke to a manager and the best she could do was 30% $120… I wasn’t asking for them to replace everything that got damaged because that’s what the scam of insurance is for and it’s my fault for not remembering the truck they gave me leaked water. All I asked for was a full refund as they rented me a death trap that also ruined all my stuff."

"Abdirzaq was very polite and helpful. He got me a nice vehicle to drive. It was clean inside and out and had a full tank of gas. He even took time out to show me how to operate some of its features. I had a very pleasant experience."

"Very nice owner who helped me out very well. The car I reserved was not available but he gave me the choice of two other upgrades, so it all worked out. Slight delay because the owner caught the fact that tire pressure was low, and switched to a different vehicle to make sure I wouldn't experience a problem while driving. Positive experience and would recommend this location"

"Do not rent a car from here! We rented a car and it was dirty, had an hole in the floor and smell like smoke. The owner was very rude. I will never rent with Budget again!"

"I had to spend 30-45 min cleaning the car before I could put my belongings in the car. It was FILTHY! I found old toothbrushes, lipstick, candy wrappers, and crumbs every where. After renting the car, I brought it back a day early and the employee who took the keys didn't close the transaction out correctly, so I was charged an extra $666 on my credit card when the rental was paid for ahead of time. I had to call customer service and explain the situation (30 more minutes of my time). I currently have $626 as a pending refund when they took $666. We will see once the credit posts if it the correct amount. If not, then ANOTHER phone call to the company. So incredibly frustrating!!!! Steer clear of this place or you will regret it!!!"
