"The worst hospital and ER. Came in with sever pain pregnant with twins they didn’t even have a nurse when I requested one through the call machine they provide in the room . Doctor Steven Schimdt took 2 hours to see me , then wanted me to do a Cat scan without even doing a regular ultrasound when the cat scan is the least safe for me as a pregnant . I felt miserable and in pain while waiting stayed there for 8 hours without even results of what was causing the pain only got some maybe its this and maybe its that . On top of everything I hade very high enzymes in my blood which I found out about NOT from the Dr. Schimdt, but from me looking at my results after I was out of the hospital . The Doctor DID NOT tell me about it or even mention it to me even after my 8 hours there, and now I’m working with my doc to figure out the reason . Horrible Horrible experience Worst doctor worst staff ever ."
"I should have read the reviews before I came here!! 10pm arrived... 3 hrs later no word. And my pain is so bad I can hardly walk. I asked for an ibupfrofen 2 hrs ago. Nothing. (pancreatitus). No machines for water or food - broken. (security was real nasty and told me to go across the street to a gas station??? At 1am?? As a patient?? That can barely walk??) I will never ever come to this hospital again. And I plan on filing a formal complaint against security officers. I am so disappointed in BayCare right now... I should have stayed in St Pete and went to ST Anthony's. And who are these ppl - Emma, Renee, Vince - who respond that "they appreciate the feedback and looking to improve the customer service and fill out this form"???? Are they even human? Watch them respond to this review with the same robotic response? SMH"
"The woman screening for the waiting room today 7/2 at 1pm is on an absolute power trip. My uncle has terminal brain cancer and she wouldn’t even let us into the waiting room because “there’s already one person in there”. She accused us of having SEVENTEEN family members there, which is a gross exaggeration. My uncle is the glue that holds our family together. Just because no one would want to be there for her if she were in his position, doesn’t mean she gets to treat a family like this. She said I could wait outside in the Florida heat. Her lack of compassion for a family grieving is completely unacceptable and inexcusable."
"Avoid this place if you want actual care! Sitting in the waiting room now for 2.5 hrs. The staff is sitting on their phone watching videos while a guy with crutches and can barely keep himself standing, struggles to get into a wheelchair literally 2 feet in front of the staff. What happened to this place? Someone had to have a stroke and seizures and start screaming for help before the guy put his phone down and the staff actually did something. Then they just left everyone and back to his phone. I have pics of it for proof. Me and other patients left to go to somewhere that would actually care for their patients."
"Arrived here after we waited at another ER for more than an hr without being seen (and the staff had very bad attitude) and the second we got here it was very clear that we had made the right call leaving the other place; every single staff was very very helpful, willing and with a great attitude and we waited practically nothing to be seen. I don't know how they do it after seeing what they see all day and still treat everyone with a friendly and positive attitude. They have all my respect and admiration."
