"Since we moved to FL, we came here for prostate cancer active surveillance. Unfortunately, after the very first appointment, we have not been able to talk to a doctor again. Nurses gave us a screening ultimatum that seemed to conflict with what the doctor said in our first appointment. Upon requesting to discuss this with a doctor, the nurses block access to one. Is a doctor even handling our case? What is the point of going to an academic research facility if the people making decisions are not the doctor? We are very distressed about this and reconsidering whether Moffitt is right for us. Additionally, I understand the doctor can be busy. But when we asked for a second opinion from Dr. Eggener at University of Chicago (super busy, very big name in prostate cancer treatment), we were amazed to get access to him the same day we sent an email. If he can make time for us, the doctor at Moffitt can too. UPDATE: In addition to the above, this place is now holding BPH medication hostage. A compassionate reply would be to tell us they will refill it one last time and to go somewhere else next time. Instead, they put us in an emergency situation to find another provider ASAP. What kind of "hospital" bullies patients who have questions by denying unrelated essential medication, and then also refuses an appointment with a doctor to discuss our questions or concerns? We have been through poor treatment before, but this is the worst of the worst."

"The people and the facilities are the best. They offer free valet along with self parking. The people are friendly and caring. You do have to check in for each individual appointment instead of just once. The Drs will override scheduling when needed to make sure you get the immediate care that is needed. Due to the immediate care they provided my sister, I believe they saved her life."

"I am also in awe of the staff at this location tending to my daughter. From the security, greeters, valet parking attendant to the nurses and physicians, I couldn't be more impressed with their helpful and caring ways. This facility has everything within walking distance that my daughters needs, even a pharmacy on hand. God brought us to Moffit and I can certainly see why. My prayers go out to all who work at this facility and especially those who are needing care."

"Everybody is great and upbeat. Just minor delays in getting documents to VA for approval of schedule appointments. Other than that everything is great. I just have to be more proactive about my appointments between Muffet and the VA. They're the best. God bless them. Dr. Fleming and his team are easy to talk with and very informative and answer all my questions and concerns and put me at ease."

"My husband has met with 2 physicians at Moffitt regarding possible return of Prostate Cancer. The physicians were each very good and up-To-date on his case. Be ready to wait as these are busy doctors. Very efficient in follow up. Recommend Valet parking. On our first visit attempting to self park ALL spaces were either valet or fir employees with a $75 fine. We had to park in employee spot. We mentioned to employee and they said not to worry about it. Next visit we Valet parked- less stress."
