Like many New Yorkers I must say that I dreaded starting a renovation project. I had heard so many unpleasant stories of renovations gone awry that had serious apprehensions going into this project. I have to say working with Calvin put them all to rest. Calvin and his team are consulate professionals that made the experience as painless and as positive as possible. The renovation was done with care and precision and Calvin was happy to immediately fix to our satisfaction any small detail that we pointed out to him. In particular, he designed and built wooden heating element covers that doubled as bookshelves that really tied the whole apartment together. Calvin and his crew work efficiently and cleanly. the workplace was always tidied up and was never left in a. state of disarray. In fact, my super and the staff of my apartment building told me repeatedly that they have never worked with anyone as professional as Calvin when it came to respecting the rules and regulations of the Coop or keeping the workplace free of dust, grime or garbage. What I liked about Cavin in particular was his ability to give me common sense answers to any question I might have. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of the project, and he remained closely involved in overseeing it from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are some of his most valuable qualities. Finally, Calvin's familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. As I said earlier, I was truly dreading going through the renovations process. But now that I have with Calvin's help, I cannot be happier. Calvin transformed what was simply an apartment into a true home that I enjoy going back each and every day."
