"We lived here for one year. Pros: - Location -- close to nice cafes and parks. However, if we had time to tour before moving from out of state, we would have considered the neighboring apartments. - Maintenance response time and friendliness for small issues - Friendly neighbors -- typically 30-40's young professionals Cons: - Bugs -- in the warm months, there were 5-10 bugs daily in our unit (we think they were boxelder bugs) and were told this was to be expected - Car broken into in the garage and still had to pay for the garage remote that was stolen - Someone was found illegally using or occupying a vacant unit next door and there were also frequent non-resident visitors to the hot tub - Electronic lock system for unit did not work properly for over 6 months and had to painfully manage support on our own with the company they partner with - Management response time and accountability"
"I have been facing with the apartment maintenance services, particularly with regards to my screen window. It all started with a simple request to fix a roller issue that prevented my screen window from closing properly. However, despite multiple maintenance requests, the issue was not resolved effectively and has led to a series of unfulfilled promises and ineffective repairs. I have noticed that the maintenance requests have been prematurely marked as "resolved" in the system, even though the issue remained unresolved. It was only in early October that the window was repaired, but the installation was flawed, leaving the window unable to close fully. This was very clear when compared to other units. I hope this issue can be resolved as soon as possible. I spoke to the new manager regarding an issue, and he promised to have follow-up discussions with me and call me back. However, I never received any callbacks despite the repeated assurances. One day, the manager informed me that he had spoken to the maintenance team about the problem and confirmed that the screen was installed correctly. However, this seemed inconsistent with the visible inward-facing plastic bars of other apartments' screen windows. This ongoing issue has been a significant inconvenience, with management consistently failing to address basic living conditions while needing more accountability and communication."
"When i first toured the apartment the property manager seemed really friendly and competent. We talked about certain work being completed. I asked multiple times. She continually reassured me the work would be complete. The work was undeniably incomplete and now she is suggesting I hire someone and pay for it out of pocket. This has not been the only issue since moving in. - a fire sprinkler pipe burst, which i'm told also happened one year ago as well. -My apartment wasn't really thoroughly cleaned, there was a dust/cobwebs on top of the cupboards, which took a bottle of cleaner and 1.5 hours for me to clean. There were other places I had to clean as well. -The hot tub has worked for maybe half the time since I moved in - there was a topless homeless person who thought the hot tub was a good time in the middle of the night. - there was an incessant beeping noise coming from the mechanical room (which i could hear on the inside of my apartment), I called the after hours line, apparently they didn't want to come fix it. So I had to live with the beeping for 2 full days -there was a leak in the water heater. The maintenance guy came over and said it was fine just had to replace a valve. The leak got substantially worse throughout the day. So I called the after hours line to get them to turn the water off until someone could come fix it the next day. They said it wasn't a big enough emergency, so all my towels are ruined with hard water stains from the old water heater. - There are about 20 firebugs that get into my apartment every day - the new water heater disposes lots of water, about 16 ounce per load of laundry - seems excessive - I can hear the upstairs neighbors whenever they walk around - some of these is to be expected in an apartment but was hoping for better in a class A high rent apartment. I would be hesitant about moving in, I certainly would get everything you want done in writing. I was hoping service would be better at a class A high rent apartment in Sugarhouse."
"I moved to SLC from the East coast and Marlene was wonderful in taking care of my requests during the cross country move and making this experience very smooth. The location of the apartment is unbeatable and is walking distance from practically everything you need: groceries, pharmacy, parks etc. The views are stunning from the balcony/windows. Maintenance is super friendly and helpful. I've lived here for about 2 years now and would have continued living here if I did not have to move out of state. They really help you make this into your home. The only downside I think I have felt is that throwing trash during winters is hard because of its location, but it always helped me get my steps in for the day as well, so did not mind that a lot! Building is very safe and well taken care of. Denise, the new property manager is amazing and very helpful!"
"I have been living in sugar house apartments for over 5 years, and the experience is beyond pleasant. The location of this apartment is unbeatable, you can practically walk to anything and everything. The maintenance team is always prompt to any of my online requests and the building is always kept clean and safe with up-to-date features like smart home, virtual doorman, etc. Most of all, Marlene, the manager, is wonderful! She went above and beyond to ensure everything is on track. I moved out of here because I bought a house. Instead of paying the rest rent (almost two months) until my current lease ends, she found someone immediately to take over my unit (the apartment is popular already with a waiting list), which saved me quite some money. The entire moving-out experience was hassle free, and within a week, I got the balance back to me. Overall, I would say the staff here define professionalism and I highly recommend living here."
