"DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! SEEK ELSEWHERE AND READ THESE REVIEWS!!!!! Parking is a nightmare. Be prepared to have your car hit all the time with the unimaginably small spaces and that's if you can even find a spot. Don't expect Maintenance to come around. At least not anytime soon. The office staff are extremely incompetent and lack any basic knowledge and are very rude. If you bring up any concerns you will just be threatened with court. The tow company they use are nothing but scammers. They will boot your car if "they can't see" your tag from their driver seat as they pass by. And when you show them proof you had your parking permit in the window you get told you're a liar. The pool is always under maintenance and is never open. Same as for the gym. It's always closed. The basketball courts flooring.. you'll probably break your ankles it's so unsafe. They keep raising rent for these mediocre apartments with broken appliances and broken/run down ammendities. Trust me please live somewhere else."
"The reviews speak volume. I was excited about the day we moved out so I can leave this review. When we moved in the reviews were bad but later on got worse & worse. Now I see why. During covid they closed the hottub & the pool was open. It was so cold most of the summer. Then I noticed brown slim growing around the ladders and around the filter area. I made a complaint. They closed the pool but when we went back swimming to check it was still there. It never got cleaned yet they were concerned about covid & closed the hot tub but the brown slim is okay to swim in? Then we had the pleasant experience of having our vehicles broken into. My husband's car was first. They broke his back passanger window. Other people too were targeted. I spent $700 for an alarm system on my vehicle and one day I forgot to lock it my fault in a sense but still (shouldn't have been a concern feeling like vehicles are getting broke into if forgot to lock.) As a result my vehicle had stuff stolen from it. My favorite coat, My glasses case was taken but later ditched near our apartment, and some coins but not all coins. I later spent another couple hundred on a 24 hour dashcam. Then in Feb of 2022 we discovered black mold or mildew around all our window base areas. That probably explains why I been sick most of the year. We also got our taxes this month & I slapped $17000 for our years rent. I tried to pay ahead & got penalized for it when I entered wrong bank number and got charged $50 return fee. That was a slap in the face after dealt with mold or bad mildew! $50 is ridiculous too to charge for a mistake. I understand $15 I even understand $25 but seriously $50. Also, the long stretch of road near apartment 17 has no speed bumps yet they have a speed bump in silly areas that are hard to speed on. I had a vehicle almost hit my son speeding down that long stretch. A couple times I almost got hit too. Oh I had a warning too one day when I shopped at Kohl's. The check out lady saw my pool key thingy & she asked me if I lived at the Aspens. I said yes. She said she had mold issues & mentioned other things. They raised the price too for 3 bedroom to $1500! That's more than a mortgage depending on house cost. If your moving in I am sorry but it's not worth that. We also continuously had issues with our washer. I know for fact too we weren't the only ones. Also, it was frustrating the qeek before we moved out we finally got a new washer. We had 2 window vendors come but nothing got done to fix the issue so we don't have to worry about mold or mildew coming back come winter. We called in late June 2022 about our toilet not flushing. A month went by still not fixed. We told apartment we are moving out so worry about that then when we are gone. It so sad how much of a hassel it was to get maintenance to fix things because they weren't top priority. Please people listen to the reviews. It's not worth it here. Oh also be aware if think will break lease be prepared to owe back the $200 if agree to free carpet cleaning or the $200 credit off next month rent when renew your lease. The apartment 3 bedroom is nice & this place has potential. Update: The reviews are so low here so please listen"
"DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Aweful business ethic. Maintenance takes forever. Sometimes cancels your work order requests. The managing staff never “know” what to do. Always have to wait “for a manager” to be In The office which seems like they never are.. Parking situation is aweful. The whole back of complex is missing the spacing for cars to properly park. The towing company they use are scammers and snakes. Also the front office can’t ever help. Even when you are wrongfully towed or booted. This place is a joke especially for what you have to pay for in rent. I can’t wait till my lease is over."
"I recently moved here from a complex that has better reviews and is in a more prime location near Corrales. Unfortunately that complex location has gone down. I was constantly putting up with homeless issues and my car being broken into and vandalized with constant worry for my family when I was at work. Here at the Aspens I already have had a much better living experience. The issues I was having at my old apartment are gone. Seems to be the location, while not as good as my old place it’s less of a hotspot for what drove me to move. Yes, The Aspens doesn’t have great Google reviews though I am unsure why. My moving experience was great. The staff was very supportive and responsive to my needs and concerns. Maintenance quickly resolved the few minor issues I had with my apartment moving in. I truly feel much safer here and am not worried my car is going to get stolen or broken into. While it can happen anywhere, my old complex near Corrales was so ridden with crime I took the leap to move here and it was entirely worth it. The Aspens even offers covered parking and garages which secure a parking place for you no matter the time of day or night you come home. Sometimes reviews and others experiences are misleading as this is the case with the Aspens. If you are planning on moving I suggest moving here and not solely relying on Google reviews. Yes other places might have “cleaner” grounds and better amenities, though, is that what’s important in a city where it’s hard to feel like you, your loved ones and belongings are safe? The Aspens even has upgraded apartments, washer and dryer, and larger living space for less than the my old apartment. Love this place."
"Such a beautiful property. Parking can be tight at times and we've had our share of inexperienced and unhelpful maintenance, but the guys theyve sent over recently really took care of us. Edit:(7mo later) Unfortunately, that's all the positive things to note about this complex. The office staff seem to care very little about any issues. And when things got escalated, I had to deal with their manager from a joining property... Daniela, just a dispicable woman with zero customer service skills, I heard her own staff refer to her as "Little Hitler" which doesnt give me much hope for staying here. They can't keep maintenance staff here for more than a few months at a time, so there is no one to complete requests. Easier to just go to court than to try and deal with any of them, especially that regional manager, anything to not have to interact with her again."
