The Grove at City Center Apartments

"BEWARE! Unannounced, unscheduled visits where employees just walk in. Poor quality electrical outlets that even maintenance point out create fires by PREVENTING devices from being fully plugged in, used due to "cheap manager". Highly unsafe for small children without replacing every outlet. Property does not manage parking. Paid, covered spots can be taken by other residents at will with no repercussion. Installed outlets in walls (Coax, phone lines) are not actually connected upstream. Snow clearing does not happen until 2-3 PM, so have a shovel for the whole parking lot to get to work in the AM. Office is unresponsive to existing tenants. Can call 11 times in a row and get no answer, using an unregistered number never takes more than twice. Voicemails left for office are responded to 5 days later if at all. Final rent amount not posted until morning of the 1st, leaving very little time to ensure proper payments(monthly dues vary month to month with all the fees). Basic, reoccurring fees not included in price of rent(like the fee for knowing the balance you even owe). Property is poorly managed and manager is disorganized and disinterested. Also prepare for your moving date to be moved back by a week, even when at lease signing you specifically state that you are moving across country and cannot have the move in date altered. Prepare for a 12 hour notice that you will be homeless for a week due to lack of time management by property. Anything kept in kitchen cabinets will adhere to the "paint" that is used, resulting in paint chips covering your plates, glasses, and any dishes or cooking tools. Coming up on 2 years at this residence and cannot wait to be rid of this "manager" at end of lease. As other reviews state, maintenance crews are very polite and hard working, but limited by management. PLEASE AVOID IF POSSIBLE."

"I moved here almost a year ago and I just can't think of anywhere else I'd wanna live. This is the most peaceful place. The grounds are maintained so nicely with beautiful plants surrounding the areas. The trash is constantly picked up by trash service and there is always someone making sure the grounds are free from trash and the trash cans are empty. The office people, especially Alma and Ms. Ramirez are so helpful, kind and warm. They are always around to answer questions, help make life easier and they really love the community here and care about the community members in a way that is comforting and friendly. There is a pool that is always clean and pool area that is comfortable and resembles a resort. By the pool, you have grills galore and picnic tables with shade and sun. There are fire pits, Foosball table and ping pong table as well as a nice gym that is regularly cleaned and maintained. Maintenance is phenomenal. If something breaks or needs repairing, they will be here quickly. My usual and average wait time on a non-emergency is a few hours. An emergency with my fan had me waiting 15 minutes. So, they are super fast, kind, respectful and really good at thier skills. The location is so close to everything. You have a walmart right down the road, metro center, shops and stores all up and down Mississippi and Denver is only a few minutes away. Somehow, with everything being so close, it's still so quiet. There is 24/7 security and security that patrols the lots to make sure cars are safe and how we leave them. I can't imagine what I did to be so lucky to have landed here but I'm glad because it's absolutely amazing here. We love it here."

"I absolutely love living here! The leasing office staff is always so kind and attentive, specifically Alma! The maintenance crew, specifically Nathan, is always quick to respond to your request and communicates well with the status of your request. He’s respectful of your living space and leaves the area clean afterwards! His service is OUTSTANDING! The inside of the apartment is very spacious and clean. The leasing office does community events that are so much fun with outside movie nights, donut days, etc. I’ve never had a problem with my mail or packages! They have a 24 hr open gym with great gym equipment! The little park is such a great place for toddlers and little kids to play. The park is always clean and well maintained. The pool is also a fun great area for the summer time. They have an outside sitting area with a fire place that makes a family night event a memorable one. Plus it’s a pet friendly community! Lastly, it’s right in the middle of the city so everything is close by including stores/mall, restaurants, light rail, court house, city library, highway anything you can think of is 5-10 mins away :) Thank you to the entire staff for making my experience here an amazing one!"

"I am a resident for 5 years and l love this Community, amenities are great. The apt are huge with big bathroom. Only walking distance from one store to another one. A big parking space. The team works so hard to maintain the property with a good curb appeal. We are very happy with the new manager -Elena she is very kind , available, she really cares about her residents. "Maintenance must be napping in apartments all day, driving around in their golf carts once in a grand while. The company they hired for renovations has done a horrendous job, from leaving trash everywhere, making the appearance of our buildings horrible and replacing "combustion air covers" with sharp metal ones in hallways. Trash bins have basically been destroyed. Also just had a new toilet installed, the new one was chipped on top when it finally arrived after a month of waiting. No accountability at all. I have been told multiple times that a manager would call me back and have yet to speak with anyone who can get anything done."
