"Update: It's now been 60 days since I've moved out and still haven't received my security deposit back. Since you asked Kira: I lived at the Canyons at Saddle Rock for 14 months. From day one it was an absolute nightmare. Move in: Between being told my deposit would be $200 when I moved it, to them changing it 2 days later to $500 and then being billed an extra $500 the first time I had to pay my rent online, my garage not being ready for a week after I moved in and still them handing me two garage door openers that didn't work, and the code not working forcing me to do a reset on the garage opener and setting it up from scratch myself, the apartment still being dirty, carpet pulled up in places, hair stuck in paint in different places, stains on the walls in others, rectal pain relief cream and a jack in the bathroom cupboard, the floorboards in the kitchen being torn up by mice, nails sticking through the carpet in random places, etc. Even the garbage disposal had something metal in it sounding like it was going to break apart any second when I first moved in, so definitely didn't get thoroughly checked pre-move in. The washing machine and dryer both had a stench that I had to run about 10 cleaning tabs through the washer to even start to get out. Build quality: You can hear your neighbors through the wall and through the ceiling. You have a night owl living above you with heavy feet? Not a chance you're getting any sleep. The units aren't even air sealed from each other. The person upstairs would smoke pot (which was also supposedly against the complex rules), and it would come down through our ventilation and flood the apartment. Had water leaks from the kitchen sink, from the washing machine, and air leaks from every single window. If you are unfortunate enough to get a unit that is against Arapahoe, you'll hear every car drive by, every idiot at 2 AM wanting to race through that intersection and every accident (which is quite often), and all of the people partying on the weekends at the adjacent gas station. Previous Staff: I know the previous staff was recently replaced, and I had high hopes for the new staff that were only there for the last couple months of my stay. With the previous staff, you would send an e-mail and it would never get answered. You would try to go over at 4 PM (which the office was supposed to close at 5 PM) and they would already have the lights out and be sneaking out the back, despite it being quite obvious that you saw them. Current Staff: With the new staff I've had very little interaction (as I had given up already at that point), but scheduled a pre-moveout check and was "promised" I would receive my full refund for the deposit. I understand having some taken out for final utilities and such, but after spending the last two weeks cleaning every inch of the place spotlessly, them coming in to inspect and approve it, then having them charge half the normal cleaning fee as a "touch up cleaning" is a slap in the face. The apartment was WAY cleaner when I moved out than when I moved in. Long term living: Parking anywhere there is a living hell anywhere after 6 PM. There are numerous people with garages filled with junk, broken down cars, or just use it to grill and leave their 3+ cars parked in different areas of the parking lot. Constantly broken down cars on jacks for weeks, cars with out of state plates that are 2+ years expired, half ripped apart with people working on them, etc. Almost every trash area is a health hazard constantly, with everything from car parts, beds, couches, broken glass, etc. thrown all around them. Conclusion: For a business that labels themselves as "Luxury apartment living", my experience was FAR from it."

"Apartments constantly harassing our kids because they are kids we have received numerous complaints/10 day demands because of the noise apparently that a 5 year old and a 3 year old makes They will choose sides and act like they are helping the situation but they will do things behind your back and cause you emotional trauma and emotional distress The amount of stress and problems we have recieved just because of ours kids being kids is ridiculous They definitely choose sides We have been here for a lil over a year and a new neighbor comes in on January and starts complaining about us and they are just OK her side Especially the guy Brian first it started with a notice about our dog which was on the lease and he didn't see it that it was on there "apparently" then the neighbors downstairs complain about our kids apparently mak8ng noise late at night. The materials used to build these apartments are obviously cheap so you can hear everything If you have kids I high would consider moving else where the amount of problems over our kids is ridiculous"

"Filled out an application online. Was sitting at the office waiting for someone from leasing to show up since 11am on Saturday, the clock on the door showed will be back at 2pm, in a few minutes it changed to 3pm, now it is 3pm still no one is here."

"I would not recommend staying here. The complex says the have rules but they do not enforce them. Residents get to break the rules whenever they want and it makes living here very unsafe. The complex also charges amenities but they are consistently dirty and not maintained. Trash overflowing, no snow removal, and the pet areas are overgrown. Not worth the price."
