"Be very weary about renting an apartment in this complex. It will be difficult to get anything done in a timely manner. Ultimately, though, it comes down to your luck. You may have an apartment with outdated appliances and unresponsive maintained, bugs, and negligent, disruptive neighbors- or you might end up in apartment that develops very few issues. Either way, your luck could change dramatically throughout your lease. The staff are here to do the minimum to collect a paycheck, not much more. There doesn't seem to be much accountability or oversight. I left over 20 voicemails during my time here and never once received a call back. If you want something done, you need to have the time to show up at the office multiple times a day or else it will take weeks or not happen at all. Be prepared, though, the posted office hours are loosely followed. It was common for the staff to leave about an hour early and the door might not unlock until an hour after opening. Don't even try to come by 11am-2/3pm due to lunch. One time we had no water and no heat (when the temperature didn't rise above 30F) and no one had any idea until I had time to go raise my case at the office (despite multiple messages on the emergency maintenance line and a work order submission). Maintenance: I've had work orders deleted with no contact and nothing done to fix the problem. If you want something worked on, you need to have time for multiple visits to the office (despite having an online work order system). Our heat wasn't working in the July heat. It took weeks for it to be looked at, then about a month to fix. Same story with our water heater. The new guy (not Leon, I think he had his buddies leave all those 1 star reviews below) when I left seemed to be turning things around, but who knows how long he will stay around. Leasing Rules: It is a "non-smoking" complex but this is not enforced in the slightest. Constant smell of marijuana or cigarettes when coming in and out of our apartment. Dogs, additional residents, illegal activity- nothing is enforced. Bugs: We never had any issues but knew multiple neighbors that did. Again, this comes down to which apartment you end up with and the cleanliness of your neighbors. Appliances: We brought our own washer/dryer and I'm glad we did since everything else broke down during our year. Water heater, refrigerator, AC Unit, shower, all had issues and took a long time to be fixed properly (or not fully fixed). Cleanliness: The apartment was somewhat recently painted so it looks decent from the outside. Trash pickup is a huge issue here and a couple times a month the trash would massively overflow. Wind would blow trash all around the grounds. Expect a few things to be slightly broken inside your apartment (small dents in cabinet doors, blinds slightly broken, dents in bedroom doors). Move-In/Renewal Process: After passing the background check, it took a couple months to be able to move in to an apartment. For about a month we were told that "by the end of the week" or "in the next few days" the process would be finished. This went on for about a month and required a lot of initiative on my part to check in an push the process along. When it came time for renewal, we encountered the same issue and eventually had to move out from the uncertainty."
