"I’ve lived here for two years and my apartment has so many maintenance issues that are not being addressed. I have seen and been in the newly remodeled units and everything seems to work just fine for them. I have had made multiple requests to fix my heat that doesn’t work, the dishwasher that doesn’t produce hot water, leaks, creates mold and doesn’t clean my dishes, the disposal which has stopped working 2 times now. The power goes out constantly and the electric will stop working in the second bedroom and bathroom. The dryer has never been cleaned out professionally so we can’t dry our clothes, we are always drying our clothes outside and now the dryer won’t turn on at all. I put in request after request after request and it’s either canceled or put off for weeks. When I try to speak to a a manger they are always busy. I have even taken off work and sat there for 9 hours because they PROMISED to come by and fix my dishwasher and then they cancelled, l had to call and make them fix it. Our cars have been broken into 3 TIMES. The security gate has been closed 1 time in the two years I have lived here. Please help me understand does know one care or is this leasing office being run by completely incompetent, dismissive individuals? THIS IS MY HOME. MY HOME. Words can’t describe how stressed and sad I feel coming home everyday to find nothing works and no one cares. I am supposed to feel safe and welcome here but I felt nothing but gross and depressed. I need something to happen immediately."
"I was so excited to move here. It seemed like the perfect place and in our price range. I have now lived here for about 10 months. On move-in day we showed up to get our keys. The person at the front desk had no idea what I was talking about and we waited at least an hour because they couldn’t find our keys and ended up having to just make a new set. This should have been warning number 1. When we did finally get into the apartment, the microwave did not work at all and there were huge holes in both sliding door screens after being told the apartment was move-in ready. I put in a request to fix it and did not receive a response for several MONTHS. Then one day I got an email saying my request was being deleted because the issue was resolved and here I was, still with a broken microwave. I sent in another very angry request and it was resolved not long after that. The office staff seems extremely disorganized. We rarely get notice before they shut our water off for hours. We never know where to find our mail as it’s always put in different places. Maintenance never seems to have the correct apartment numbers as they have entered my home unannounced more than once for repairs I did not request. The elevator has broken down many times and once it stayed broken for a couple of weeks. Thank god I’m not handicapped! Or I would’ve been stuck in my apartment! Also, the walls in the apartment are practically made of paper, we can hear pretty much every neighbor on the whole floor. There is a dog park but forget it if you have a small dog. The holes in the fencing are plenty big enough for my 20lbs dog to run right into the road! Also flooding has been a prominent issue here as well. My husband and I are frequently frustrated and ready to be done with this place. TLDR: if you’re looking for a place where people randomly enter your home, you never know where your mail is, frequent unannounced water shut offs, difficulty getting things fixed, and hearing everything your neighbors do, this is the place for you!"
"I am utterly dismayed and deeply disappointed by the gross misrepresentation of the apartment. The leasing staff painted a picture of a beautiful place with excellent amenities during the tour, and I was excited about moving in. Despite not being able to view the apartment itself, due to it “not being ready at the time,” I took Jean-Pierre’s words to heart and trusted his opinion. However, upon my move-in date, I was met with a completely different reality. The apartment was in a deplorable state, with baseboard heaters falling off, a missing piece of the dishwasher, and exposed wiring under the kitchen sink, among other issues. The shower and bathroom sinks were clogged, and the sliding doors were wobbly on their tracks. The washer and dishwasher emitted a repulsive nauseating odor, and there was a significant amount of water damage throughout the place. To make matters worse, there were wasp nests hanging out underneath the patio railing. I cannot help but feel foolish for trusting the leasing staff's assurances and believing that the apartment would be in a similar condition to the model I saw during the tour. I had viewed other apartments, but this one seemed to fit my budget and requirements best, and now I regret that decision deeply. The lack of responsiveness from the leasing staff, particularly Andrea, has only added to my frustration. Despite her reassurances and promises, the maintenance issues remain unaddressed, and the work order is still open even days after I was supposed to move in. It's evident that the landlord's approach of fixing things with paint is hardly sufficient. The condition of the apartment is far from habitable, and I find it disheartening that they expected me to accept this subpar living situation. Moving forward, I plan to document all the issues I encounter and persistently communicate my concerns with the leasing office. I deserve to live in a properly maintained and habitable apartment, and I will not settle for anything less. I also feel fortunate that my boyfriend was able to fix some of the immediate problems, allowing me to at least have a functional space temporarily. However, this does not absolve the leasing staff of their responsibilities. I remain hopeful that the leasing office will eventually address the maintenance issues promptly. Nevertheless, I will explore my options and consider seeking legal advice if necessary to ensure my rights as a tenant are protected. In the future, I will be more cautious and thorough in my apartment search to avoid such disappointing situations. Everyone deserves honesty and transparency when it comes to their living conditions, and I refuse to accept anything less."
