"I wanted to give this place some time since moving in, but alas, nothing has gotten better. BEWARE LIGHT SLEEPERS - this is not the place for you (or don’t get a unit on 39th). The bagel shop downstairs routinely gets deliveries from 4:30-6am MULTIPLE TIMES A WEEK. We have been woken up EVERY SATURDAY between 4:45-5:45am with a massive delivery truck banging their doors, idling their engine, and unloading goods right under the bedroom window. I would have thought that a newer building labeled as "luxury" at the cost we are paying would at least invest in heavy duty windows. That is not the case. You can hear EVERYTHING on Tennyson/39th. Some other not so great parts: 1. Move-in was a complete sh*tshow - we were notified the day before we had to pick up the keys at a completely different location in Baker. When asked about reserving the elevator, we were told “people will just be nice” making it incredibly annoying for our movers to hold the doors open and load it. We luckily ran into a maintenance guy during the move but I have no idea what would have happened if we hadn’t. There was also no allocated spot for movers outside, so they had to double park in the alley and had a long walk to the elevator. 2. The elevator broke on our second day (we heard this happens a lot) making moving the remainder of our stuff incredibly hard. 3. The garage does not feel secure - the sensor almost always opens the first garage door when you drive past it even though we go in the second. 4. Constantly a gross smell in the lobby area. I would say tenants have all been really nice, area is great, and maintenance addressed an issue with our cabinets in record time, but man, I wish we did more homework on apartments in this area."
"I have been renting an apartment here for 6 months and it has been a great experience. The location is amazing - literally right on Tennyson Street. I get a ton of natural light and it is dog friendly. My unit has hardwood floors, marble counter tops, and brand new appliances. The management team has been very responsive when issues have popped up (which is to be expected with a brand new building). Simona has gone above and beyond to make sure the issues I experienced were fixed. Also, the owners genuinely care about the residents and their experiences living here. I highly recommend Lyric No 39."
"I have rented here since the early days, and I have been nothing but happy with my unit and overall experience. With a new building there are some hiccups, but management has been nothing but responsive and I plan to rent here for years to come. The units are sleek and clean and I loved the outdoor space before winter comes. The neighbor is unbeaten, and I am super happy with my apartment!"
"Don't listen to all the bad reviews on here. It's no secret that it takes much more to inspire a good review, than a bad review. I have been at Lyric No 39 since day 1. While there have certainly been some growing pains, that is to be expected with a brand new building. Some people seem to think that the owners/property manager don't care about resident concerns; this building is just a portfolio booster, nothing more. To say the least, my experience has been outstanding. I have run into the building owners numerous times. They always approach me for my opinion and take my concerns seriously. The interaction typically ends with a promise that the building will continue to get better. Simona, the property manager, is a very kind, understanding person and has addressed all my outreaches with diligence. Any issues I have encountered have been addressed within 1 business day. I even once put a hole in a pocket door leading to my closet and they replaced it without charging me. The point is this: I have been living in apartments for my entire adult life and Lyric No 39 is not perfect. BUT their finishes are definitely above average for what you should expect in a luxury apartment building. One of the things that makes me very happy is noise insulation between units- I do not hear my neighbors at all. Also, because of the location (on Tennyson) there is a more mature resident mix than you find in Areas closer to downtown. And most importantly, the people that own/manage this building ACTUALLY DO CARE! Anyone who has ever lived in an apartment knows that this is a rare thing. So. If you are a reasonable person, with reasonable expectations, and value the things I've outlined here, I encourage you to ignore the negative reviews and come check this place out."
"Brand new Investor-owned building with a ton of problems. Security lapses ( all our bikes were already stolen once, and the owners refuse to build a cage around the bike racks), windows falling off the building and shattering on the ground, electrical and plumbing issues, cheap easily broken fixtures and cabinetry, multiple apartments with disgusting odors and sewer gas escaping into them from badly sealed toilets, washers, & floor drains. The lobby smells like sewage multiple times per week. Owners are picking & choosing what issues they want to fix, and they don't seem care about tenants time and frustration. Run, don't walk away."
