The Crossings at Bear Creek Apartments

"Overall the apartment was great for me. I loved the view of the creek and trees. It was a very cozy place for me with alot of natural light on the 3rd floor. The only issue for me was the parking situation. There wasn't alot of parking available and even paying for it there were many times I couldn't even park in the street."

"In total we have lived here for approximately six years, and it is a theme that parking is an absolute disaster. There use to be reserved spots and apparently certain units still get reserved spots for some reason. Now, we pay 8 dollars a month to POTENTIALLY park in the lot. Woke up this morning to a fifty dollar ticket on my car because there was legitimately zero parking in the lot at 8pm! Keep in mind, we already park one vehicle in a garage (125 extra dollars a month) I’m just not too sure why we as tenants have to pay for parking when guests can pay for the same spots… additionally there are run down RVs, trucks, and storage containers parked on the street and in the lots without any movement for weeks on end? Make it make sense. I called the office to offer some ideas and was scoffed at, told to talk to the manager, which would; “probably just be a waste of time cause she would tell you there’s no solution.” On top of this our mail was stolen by the courier here a few weeks ago, and was no where to be found. Not a check or balance occurred for our mail. It miraculously appeared back in our mailbox after notifying the postal service that it wasn’t received. After calling the office a woman told me “oh you probably went to the wrong post office.” Keep in mind, I didn’t, and no one would check the office for my mail. So god only knows what all was taken and where it was all that time. The apartments are nice, great maintenance, and the office staff are generally pleasant, however most have zero problem solving skills. We will continue to live here because we do love it, but there needs to be a call to action by the tenants for them to fix these issues."

"I lived at CBC for 8 years. I had to move for reasons other than the community. Nothing's perfect, but they did an excellent job. Snow was always removed as quickly as possible. (For those who complained, the complex can't plow the city street. There are 11 buildings. They can't always get to yours first.) All maintenance issues were taken care of as quickly as possible. Sometimes it took an extra day for the contractor to get there but the maintenance staff did everything they could until it could be fixed. They changed a water heater at night (because they had one). They fixed a plumbing leak on Christmas Eve. The apartments are nice and well maintained. The office staff does change a little too often but I can only think of one person, 3 years ago, who wasn't good. Lisa and Nathan are wonderful! Eric will do everything he can. Carlos is a marvel. I highly recommend moving to CBC. Remember that you are moving to a large community with a diversity of ages and needs and that your needs cannot always be the highest priority. If you do that, you will be very happy."

"I have lived at Crossings since 2020. Eric and his maintenance team have always been eager to help and very responsive. By far the best maintenance team I have interacted with. Things get done and they get done quickly. If there are any delays Eric communicates why and when it expects it to get done. The new management team of Lisa and Nathan are also very helpful, responsive, and eager to help as well. They are great at communicating with the community and providing updates. During covid, there was a lot of issues, that were out of management's control, such as crime and disruptive neighbors, but those issues have been addressed. Lakewood police has been patrolling more regularly and more respectful neighbors have moved in. There is also a tow truck that patrols and will tow any cars that do not have a permit. I mention this as a reference to any negative reviews from previous years. For the location, it's difficult to beat if you like spending time outside. The bear creek bike path, Bear Creek Lake Park, Red Rocks, and the mountains are all within minutes. It's also about 20 mins from Denver outside of rush hour. Factor in the pool, hot tub, and gym, it's a great spot for active people."
